Walked in on Friday just before the rush so was able to get a table. They do seem quite popular as it started to fill and they were receiving constant phone orders.

Despite that, our food came out quickly all hot and delicious.

We got the mixed starters 10B which comes with the excellent fish cakes, chicken toast, ribs and chicken skewers. I know most of you are probably used to prawn toast, but the chicken toast was a great match with the satay sauce and sweet chilli sauce provided. These starters were eagerly gobbled up.

As mentioned by another reviewer, the pad thai was oily but it still tasted fantastic. The massaman curry on the other hand wasn’t oily. It was perfectly creamy and delicious.

The only reason I am taking off a star is because the male toilets had a broken tap. It works but gets dislodged and needs repairing. It was otherwise clean and functional in there. My partner said the ladies toilets had no issues and she was happy with them.

Everything we ate here was delicious and the service...

I was in the mood for Thai and wanted to try out a new restaurant, which brought me here. The welcoming was a bit rude (may be due to the cultural differences), and we had to wait for almost 10 minutes for someone to come and share a menu, serve water.

We thought we had chosen a wrong place for dinner but we were fortunately proved wrong once the food arrived. The massaman and Thai green curry both tasted really good. The chicken was a bit rubbery after it became a bit cold.

I was surprised even the prawn crackers weren’t free, which is usually given free of cost in any Thai restaurant. Anyway… the food compensated for everything else.

I Wish the team introduce a good ventilation or air conditioning for summer. Overall, I’d...

This was a cracking find in Penzance. It’s a bit tucked away but worth the search. My partner had a red Thai chicken curry with rice and I had the chicken massaman with rice. Both were exceptional and they must have been because by the time I’d thought of taking a picture the food was gone and the plates clean! There was a richness to the red Thai that I’ve not tasted in other curries I’ve sampled and the creaminess of the massaman was out there. Plenty of veg in both meals and good portions for the prices too. Only downside and something worth knowing before you go is that it’s a BYOB so we were on the water. The menu selection is fantastic and if we are back down that way we will certainly be tapping this...

After half a day in Land's End and its less than inspiring food outlets, we wanted to take an interlude before the fireworks display at 10pm. We are seasoned Thai food lovers, but this is our first time in Penzance, and first time at Sukothai. They were packed crazy at 6pm and there was a 40min wait. Decided to take a chance as we had ample time. Fortunately, when it came to their food, we found it authentically mouthwatering, one of the best we have tasted. All dishes ordered -- pad thai, red curry, massaman curry, were good but the stand out one has to be the seafood prawn and squid curry. Well worth the wait, prices are decent, and their flavours exceeded our expectations.
