It's busy on a Saturday but the gave us a buzzer for a 20minute wait. The staff are very efficient and the food comes quickly. There are screens between tables and tables are wiped down between customers. It is upstairs but there is a small lift. The food was delicious and I had a Guiche Lorraine and my wife had Cauliflower Cheeses soup which looked very creamy, with white bloomer bread. My earl grey came with a tea strainer, and extra hot water. Something you usually have to ask for. My wife was offered a free glass of tap water. The service is very good and the food tasty. We don't know because ours didn't and when we complained because people arriving after us were going in we were told we might be the next 2! Having eventually got a table the service was extremely slow not the staffs fault they just didn't have enough of them for such a busy place. We have been before and always really happy but something sadly wrong today. 1 hour and 40 mins to get a cup of tea and a bowl of tepid soup. Read moreCome every week for breakfast when I have a business meeting nearby. Veggie breakfast is the best for miles, I’m not vegetarian but the sausages are to die for. I believe they are made with mushrooms. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much bother. I really enjoy my weekly chat with the manageress who is always a bundle of energy and joy to speak to and makes everyone feel welcome.
