First time in this nice little pub . We were welcomed and looked after very well . Only a few in there when we arrived , this quickly changed around the time the live music was due to start , 10pm. I was impressed with the continual attention to cleaning and mopping spills . At times it became very loud and there were some “ larger than life” type characters but the staff were on the ball the whole time . The landlord performed the “ live artist” role . He was very good and as well as singing and playing you could tell that he was the one in control with some of the louder audience members . We will certainly return on our next visit to Weymouth . Read moreHave been many times to this pub and loved it. However open mic night , 15th July, our drinks were moved on the table to allow 4 more people to be sat at it. At best it was a table for 4 people and we were rudely told by the new landlady, that if we didn’t like the lack of social distancing we can ‘drink up and leave’ We had been there since 7.30pm. The music started at 9pm. By 9.30pm it was crammed with people. We are locals, and extremely upset being treated this way. The track and trace wasn’t being adhered to and given the rate of infection, I’m appalled by rude and abusive behaviour of this landlady who was happy to take our money...
Read moreI went here for one time after so long, its been a very merry pub. I accidentally used an outback building for the toilet which the toilets use to be. I was mistaken. Both barmen who are very young didn't direct me not did they care. I was swiftly barred without reason. Since a change of hands and since a music licence has been revoked I thought it was better. I would since AVOID this pub due to immature barmen. It was a mistake and never got my chance to rectify. This pub is not giving the pub the image it once was.
