Zills - Tapas & Mezze — Restaurant in Great Britain

My wife and her friends went there yesterday for a Birthday meal. How disappointing and would definitely NOT recommend it. To start with they tried to squeeze 5 adults onto a small table. The waiter was within my wife's personal space when taking her order. He also had the nerve to say to my wife "you should smile more Baby". This is totally unacceptable in ANY public capacity. He's just lucky that I wasn't there. Simple food requests could not be taken. A salad that was ordered without cucumber.... Arrived WITH cucumber. My wife's order for a vegetable Mousaka initially failed to materialise, but when it finally came, it arrived as a lamb Mousaka and she was expected by the staff to eat it. 2 meatball dishes arrived that were not even ordered. When the bill arrived, they tried to overcharge as they had added an EXTRA Greek salad that hadn't even been eaten. The prices charged for all the meals were inflated on the bill and did NOT match the prices on the menu. The excuse given by the staff regarding the difference in prices was that the menu prices had recently been changed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely you print out new menus with the new prices to reflect the change. One of the chicken dishes had been inflated by £4 to £12.50! Overall a very disappointing and negative experience. Would definitely advise people to avoid and opt to go somewhere else where the staff will treat customers with manners...

Read reviews before booking ( for my son 18 birthday treat) which were quite good so was expecting a nice meal. First impressions on arrival were good as place seemed nice and cosy. Waited 15 minutes before ordering and it would have been nice if we could have first ordered drinks. As recommended on the menu I ordered 12 tapas (3 per person). But a few minutes later the waiter came back confused to double check our order. Obviously he could not read his own writing. Still he managed to miss 3 items as we only received 9 tapas. For me the worst was the quality of the food. Our fried calamaris were clearly a bad quality frozen product and when I questioned the waiter he said I should have chosen the grilled calamaris. I have rated honestly and gave a 3 as the food was tasty and the staff very friendly, however, I feel the food was very overpriced. £6.90 per tapas which consisted of 2 small sausages one small piece of flatbread. Another, 4 meatballs (yes £6.90 for 4 meatballs!!!). I ordered a bottled water which when it came had the expiry date ripped off. I believe it was actually tap water filled into the bottle as it came to the table luke warm and already poured into the glass. Another giveaway was that there was too much volume of water that wouldn't have fit in the bottle! Tasty food but well overpriced in my opinion, nearly 50 quid...
