We visited Monday at 2pm there were plenty of spaces both inside and out. We had a simple order, two teas, garlic bread, cheesy chips and loaded chips (cheese, bacon bbq sauce). We ordered at the counter, the girl that took the order was polite and friendly, we were a little surprised that it took 25 minutes to arrive. A different girl brought the order to the table, she put down the cheesy chips and garlic bread and said “anything else” we said yes loaded chips and she replied “I know, it’s being cooked now”. I thought it was strange as she’d just asked anything else as if our order should have been complete. When the loaded chips arrived she put it on the table with an unwelcoming attitude. Nobody returned to our table asking if everything was okay, to be honest it was lovely and fresh, decent helping size and it was very tasty, without what seemed a long wait for a small order and the attitude of the waitress I would have scored higher. The cake selection was nice, we took three away with us, they tasted okay. The adjoining toilets are worth a mention too, I’m unsure if they are part of Christopher’s or general use. Either way, no hot water, urine on the floor, no soap, absolutely disgusting toilets that had not been checked all day going by the smell. Please note, my three stars are ignoring the toilets as I’m unsure who is responsible for them.

Some say that tipping is both a great way of showing appreciation but also a must do! Here in the UK we tend to do it when overwhelmed with the service, the food, the experience and not necessarily done as standard So I was that impressed I did leave them a tip and I will leave you one....visit here! A first time visitor to this cafe I came as it was reccomended for gluten free dairy free options etc...I am neither however my friend was. There was ample choice. The food was filling, good quality reasonably priced. The puddings are to die for and although full up I found room ..save room... Now the service.... Real old school delight to see. The gentleman worked the room like magic spending time with customers not too long but enough of a conversation to feel welcomed interested in and you felt a genuine interest. The same man served my blind friend and the way he put down the drinks and explained exactly where it was and angled it showed respect understanding experience even. If I had a chain of cafes or restaurants I would hire this guy to train staff in customer service 100% real 5* service Real glad I went. Come and visit and support this business. Behind is a real retro arcade to be experienced also. Highly reccomended and will be back to sample more deserts. My thanks to the team. #visitgreatyarmouth #visitengland #suppportlocalbusiness

We came here on a quiet Tuesday afternoon to get out of the torrential rain and were pleased to find a pleasant covered garden with plenty of tables and lots of pretty hanging baskets and little sparrows flying around. The young waitress was friendly and made sure we checked into the Covid app. We tried to order from their very wide selection of hot foods, but were told the kitchen was closed for hot food (at 4.20pm), so we opted for a cream tea, which at £4.95 seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, the scones were pretty awful - one of them was almost totally flat as though something had gone wrong with the bake and both were extremely dry. We couldn't be bothered to complain, but probably should have done. However, the clotted cream and pot of tea was nice, as was the chocolate fudge cake that my daughter had. Overall it was a pleasant and inexpensive experience and though I definitely wouldn't have the scones again, I can imagine their sandwiches and hot food faring better.

We visited here yesterday as it’s one of the places to visit in Yarmouth, I have been here before years ago so was looking forward to going , I was very disappointed with the cream tea , the scones were flat as a pancake and very dry so crumbled up when we tried to cut them in half which was a task and half ! I should have complained straight away but didn’t , I said something to the waiter Eventually and he said they were flat cos they probably were taken out the oven to soon! Sorry these scones should not have been given out to customers to pay full price for a scone that was flat also the cream tea was £4.75 and if you wanted to change the tea to coffee it was a extra 40p which was fine but my daughter wanted hot chocolate with cream , marshmallows, flake so charged me a extra £3.50 for this when I had a drink included so I thought that was overpriced, in the end I complained to the owner about it and I’m so disappointed in this place , my mum got hers for free but I still had to pay £18.15 for mine as he said “something has to be paid for” as people were looking I paid my bill and left I will not be visiting this place again . So...
