I'm a very fussy eater when it comes to curry a d this place is exceptional. Other spots will have grease layers on top and some have awful service but here is something different. Greeted at the door by someone friendly who shows you to your table and introduces you to your waiter is always a nice touch for a restaurant. I've eaten here twice (within a week) and it's the only place in Huddersfield that all three of us seem to be able to eat at. The veggie options are vast for the other two to select from. The waiting staff were very helpful in allowing my OH have a different curry to one on the early bird menu. The early bird represents great value for money. £10 gets you a starter, main course with accompanyment, and tea or coffee to follow. Adding on poppadoms and pickle tray didn't cost us the earth as an extra. My kebab was fresh and flavourful, the Keema Madras was slightly mild to my taste but was tasty. The OH had potato pakoras, which she enjoyed, a chick pea and potato murkhani biryani that is something she ordered by accident on a previous visit and enjoyed it for a repeat order. The young one had paneer pakoras that were enjoyed, and her favourite the tarka Dahl which she had to bring home to eat the following day. I would say the most worst experience ever, travel from far to have nice food but literally got really disappointed with food quality, service the rude behaviour from the management, at first place not following the distancing safety precautions between table as we were not comfortable with people sat next to us and we had two little babies along, the food took longer than ever , ordered starters and kebabs smelt like meat was off and tasted even worse, as we complaint to the waiters and they got us some chicken tikka as swap n some of it wasn’t Cooked properly, I don’t know the person was manger or owner but he behave like without any manners that he really not bothered because we had decided to cancel our main course order, he simply mentioned that this restaurant may be not right place for you rather than being sorry mentioned us to leave the table like we were bother to stay there, am sorry it’s like we don’t eat outside or doesn’t know how things taste like, unfortunately I belong my self to food industry for a long time, and I will make sure that I will report to health safety people as people got right to be served right and get food worth paying. I hate to leave a bad review but we had a bad experience with exceptionally poor service at this restaurant. Probably the worst place I have been to eat. Unwelcoming from the second we walked in. The staff here are inattentive and seemed overwhelmed and disorganised. Moving onto the food which was so tasteless and bland we could not finish our meal. From the starters to the main course it was almost inedible and had a foul smell. Rotten dates to break our fast with, nowhere to pray infact when we asked the waiter he seemed so confused. He went to find out but no surprise he never returned. Our waiter was more concerned about where the staff were going to sit and eat. He told us he needs to move us to a different table saying “our staff need to sit here to eat” We politely declined as he was going to move us in-front of the alcohol bar not the best place to be sat opening our fast, to clarify we had no idea they served alcohol otherwise we would not have been there in the first place, our fault for not checking. Not once did anyone come to ask if we needed anything and at the end of the meal which we barely touched we gave them some feed back about how tasteless the food was they couldn’t have been more uninterested.
