Paradise Takeaway — Restaurant in Lancaster

Ordered food here tonight for the first and last time. Order of £70, very little food compared to our usual takeaway restaurant, which was unfortunately closed. The BBQ ribs were OK, as were the Singapore noodles. However, the prawns in oyster sauce contained lots of tinned vegetables, especially bamboo shoots. The spring rolls were mini, again compared to where we normally order, and quite dry. I suspect frozen. The two portions of chicken satay in satay sauce arrived with literally one 2.5 inch diameter plastic, with perhaps 20ml if dry sauce in it. It smelled like plastic; didn't even try it and quickly prepared my own satay sauce instead. The boiled white rice didn't feel very fresh and was overpriced. Quite disappointed and will never recommend this...

I love this takeaway. The best vegetable curry and egg-fried rice I've tasted from any Chinese takeout or restaurant in the whole of Lancaster. The curry was lovely and varied with bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, baby corn-cobs and bean sprouts. The sauce pleasantly spicy with plenty of turmeric, and I could taste garlic as well. The egg-fried rice nice and firm. The service very quick and polite. The front of house clean and tidy. I highly recommend...

We came here after reading good reviews, we weren't disappointed either. The food was great. chicken in lemon sauce is something I've never had before but wow, it was amazing. The duck in Peking sauce also very tasty, like a soft sweet and sour sauce. Salt and pepper chips were very good and much better than another Chinese we'd tried in the area. Prices are good, portion size and quality spot on....
