Toast — Restaurant in Lancaster

Would have been 5 stars if only reviewing the food which is almost always excellent. As per another review on here... A MESSAGE FOR THE OWNERS. Please please please give your front of house staff some customer service training. The bad attitude, lack of interaction and sometimes rudeness is going to cost you a lot of custom. It puts me and friends and family off ordering from and going into your takeaway. The lack of basic customer service skills such as a "please" or "thank you" when taking money is shocking.

When ordering on your website which I have done at least 7 times my order says ready to collect and when I get to the takeaway it has rarely even been started. On the last visit I waited over 30 minutes upon arrival after being told my order was 'ready to collect'.

I have also noticed that when wearing gloves preparing a meat pizza, the gloves were not removed or replaced after and the same pizza cutter was used for a vegetarian pizza as a meat one.

I really like the food and want to support a very local business to me but the service is such a let down and always feels uncomfortable and chaotic. I appreciate at times you are busy, such is the industry but it always feels like...

I had the hot and spicy pizza with a portion of chips and garlic sauce. Everything was spot on, the chips are always cooked well and really well seasoned. The pizza was excellent,hot, tasty and with fresh ingredients and cooked to order. The sauce is really garlicky but that's exactly what I wanted!

I ordered for collection, it wasn't ready when I arrived but I don't mid that as at least it was fresh when I did get it and not sitting waiting for me.

Over all excellent value when compared to the bigger pizza chains.

Great pizzas. Utterly apathetic front of house. Two food preppers who don’t look up or acknowledge and then bizarrely ask ‘are you ordering today?’ - well, I’m not waiting for a bus am I? How about ‘hello, someone will be with you in a minute’. I want you guys to succeed because your pizzas are genuinely tasty - but whoever owns the place, for heavens sake give your front of house some training in being friendly and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Oh, and the boot prints on the white panels have been there months. Give em a...
