Charco's — Restaurant in Leeds

I used to really love this place growing up in leeds.

But as of yesterday my perspective has changed.

The quality has gone down in all honesty.

My chicken was just dry and tough and rubbery.

The customer service isn't great either.

The meat on my leg piece of chicken was slightly red/pinkish. I highlighted this to the manager "R kid there is nothing wrong with that chicken i eat it every day its cooked". I just didnt bother arguing it with him and just ate it and agreed with him.

He didnt even offer to cook me a new one. I'd eaten a lot of it anyway so wasn't expecting a refund or anything. I hate writing bad reviews but i paid £15 for all that food yesterday and it just seems like they dont even care anymore.

The sauce used to be amazing that they cooked the chicken in, now it just taste like ketchup.

It's sad to see corners being cut on quality i used to love this place.

And the sides as well, like you can only pick out of 4 sides, you can't pick any other options for a meal, it's proper stingey.

I'm saddened by this because of the money I have spent here over the years.

I don't expect any refunds or rewards or freebies just treat your paying customers with more respect going forward, you knew that chicken didn't look right, i worked in nandos for years so I know what chicken leg meat looks like, i know its dark meat however that was...

I would be here for lunch everyday if I could!! If you want good chicken in Leeds and are close to the Parkinson building then Charco's is the way to go! I am there a few times a month for lunch as my workplace is across the street. During term-time it can get quite packed with students during lunch but if you get a seat then personally it's worth it. The chicken here is great; very tender and well-seasoned. The food arrives really quick too and always comes with a little side salad garnish that you can nip on. There was only one time I got my food after a little bit of waiting but it was really packed, the staff were super friendly and apologised for the delay when my food arrived. I always get either the chicken wrap or half chicken, hot (.... obviously!) so I can't speak for the rest of the menu but these ones are really nice and not tiny portions. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're stuck with...

We rang to order food for collection and we first asked for 12 naan bread and they said that they do don't do them and we said that you do do them with chicken and he rudely said "you got the wrong the place" don't assume vefore we have finished the order. He then said they can deliver for us but did not say they charged (we were buying for the first time ao we didn't know just looked online) he just said "yh yh i can deliver for you". Then he told us the total amount of the price and it got here and they charged 5 pound extra, ok 1.50 or something like that was for delivery but ehat about the rest? I have read reviews whixh talk about over charging so i can't be a mistake every time. And as for the food the chicken was un cooked inside and dry where it was cooked. The naan was fallin apart crumbling and the fries were sruck to each other. The marinate on the chicken was nothing special.... will never...
