Arrived on Sunday evening no other customers in the place. Told dress code was no shorts and told had to leave. Staff sarcastically thank us as we leave when we point out It’s 20 degrees outside. Crazy policy won’t be going back.
Edit: As the owner has responded to this review I would like to rebut what has been said. I was the member of the group wearing gym trousers. At no point was I spoken to but actually 2 other members of the group were told within my earshot that specifically shorts were not allowed and they had to leave. I went with them. On having people in the garden wearing shorts since we never actually allowed to go that far I can’t comment if this was the case. But if so just shows more hypocrisy. I reiterate there were 0 other customers actually inside your bar at the time we arrived. We only went in as it had been awhile since we had visited and wanted to give it a try for a change.
If you want to keep up an appearance with ‘dress codes’ on a Sunday afternoon/evening that’s fine your prerogative. As stated I believe it’s a crazy policy to loose revenue. Maybe also don’t have 2 very drunk young women sitting on the floor in front of your porch entrance that we had to go around to enter and exit. Just a suggestion for future.
Also no mention of the sarcastic tone of your staff as we left. We caused no trouble left immediately but we’re pretty shocked by both the policy and tone in which it was delivered. Think that may be something you should...
Read moreThis was our first time out in Litchfield, having searched the Internet for a good place to eat, I came across Paradise.
I booked a table, and we arrived on time, first impressions, it was more like a nightclub with how loud the music was, you couldn't hear yourself talk! And there were kids in there given the atmosphere was more like a student bar than a family aimed venue.
We were shown to our seats and told someone would be over to take our order, 25 mins later no-one had come to us,
We eventually grabbed someone's attention, she took our drinks order, which we had to shout given the stupidly high music volume,
We were then told there was an hour and a half waiting time on food! When I booked the table I was given a time to be off the table by, so that would have been out the window!
Why wasn't we told on arrival the kitchen was running behind? I question the management for allowing that to happen,
This place is a joke, looks good in the pictures but when you scratch beneath the surface it clearly lacks substance.
Paradise is the wrong name...
Read moreWent on a Friday night, 3 of us ladies, around 8.30pm. wasn't overly busy. On the plus side; tables were nicely spaced out & music was just at the right volume so you could hear yourselves talking. Cocktails are only 2 for 1 until 7pm. I ordered a Pina Colada which set me back £8.80! I wouldn't have minded but my friends & I were day on a high table opposite the bar & I was witness to my cocktail bring made. Unfortunately, despite being presented in a large glass, it was 70% crushed ice 30% Pina Colada. The paper straw given with it was too thin (wider straws are definitely needed) & you couldn't suck up any liquid due to all the crushed ice. Also, it wasn't very tasty Pina Colada so definitely not worth the money! 2nd drink I ordered was a double Malibu with diet coke, which was a lot cheaper, however the coke on draft was cheap & nasty & ruined the taste. I would go again but only during happy hour & try & choose...
