Went here 3 times on different occasion, 3 times I was not served by the staffs as I walked into the place making feel awkward standing there.

First time going there it was moderately busy, the staffs just passed by me as if I am transparent, eventually I had to ask the staff for a seat myself, I can still excuse them for the busy situation

Second time going in there it was much busier, same thing happened and I was mostly ignored, and again I excused them as it was very busy, but decided to leave as the staff told me there is no space after I asked for it, from here I thought maybe it is self service

Third time going in there I was of course as usual, ignored, this time it was not busy at all, there are many seats available around. The staff saw me but did absolutely nothing. I thought to myself that it is self-service, hence I decided to get a seat myself. While seating and waiting for my orders, I noticed other customers walking in was getting served by the same staff that saw and ignore me, and this just does not sit right with me.

I am very disappointed and disgusted by such behaviour, making me felt alienated as if I am unwelcome there. The only reason why I visited the place multiple times is because of my passion to enjoy a good quality coffee, if the service is not on par to such standard, I am never...

I had the chance to visit Bold Street Coffee, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The place has laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere—bustling but not overwhelming—creating the perfect spot to enjoy a quality cup of coffee and take in the energy of the city. It immediately reminded me of the local coffee shops in Portland, Oregon, with its warm ambiance, friendly baristas, and a focus on great coffee rather than unnecessary frills.

I went for a Batch Coffee, and it was smooth, well-balanced, and full of flavor—exactly what I look for in a solid, no-nonsense cup of coffee. No bitterness, just a rich and satisfying brew that showcases their dedication to quality beans and proper brewing techniques.

As for food, I tried the Egg Buoys, and they were spot-on. The eggs were fluffy, the bread was fresh, and the combination of flavors made for a satisfying, hearty breakfast that paired perfectly with the coffee. It’s the kind of meal that feels simple yet crafted with care, much like the best coffee shops back in Portland.

The overall experience was great—whether you’re looking for a quick caffeine fix or a place to sit down and enjoy your morning. The space has that mix of minimalist design and cozy charm, making it feel welcoming without trying too hard. Definitely a place I’d...

Had the unfortunate opportunity to visit this place recently. What an absolute over rated pretentious hole. Ordered four different coffees and all resembled dirty dish water. The bald fella with the ginger beard and specs who served us, was a right obnoxious miserable individual with no-customer care or appreciation for the people using this business. He plonked  the coffee cups on the the table without a care or comment. The slop that was meant to be  coffee was gray coloured, weak cold and absolutely vile and very overpriced. We complained about this to the woman behind the counter, who apologised and stated that was the last of the remaining filter coffee in the jug that was made some time ago. We were given replacements, but this was no better and resembled an out of date urine sample!

How this place is in business is a puzzle by comparison to other established outlets. It's an embarrassment and let down to the great city of Liverpool and the management should stop making feeble excuses for their awful coffee and dreadful customer service. Get a grip and sort both your coffee and staff's attitude problem. In the meantime, much better coffee can be had in other parts of...

This is one of the best places I have been to for breakfast in the UK! I wandered in here on a weekday morning around 10am as it was round the corner from my Air bnb (I was staying in Liverpool for business). Even on a weekday I was surprised how busy it was...but despite that the service I got was really friendly. I ordered a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, hash browns, bacon and eggs. I think it was around £12-14. When it arrived I was so impressed I took a photo! (I know most gram-ers do this but I generally don't) And it tasted so good! The pancakes were light and fluffy and actually tasted of blueberry. The hash browns were the best I've ever had...I don't really like hash browns but I would eat these beauties anytime! Bacon was top quality and they gave proper maple syrup and a really good hot sauce with it! If I had a minor complaint it was that my fried eggs didn't have a totally runny yolk...but that's being mean! If I'm in Liverpool ever again I'm coming back here!

Liverpool doesn’t seem to have clocked on to cold brew yet, so when I saw that this place had some on the menu it was a no brainer. This is in a great location, close to all major transport links and accommodations. The coffee menu is designed for people who actually appreciate coffee and don’t just want the basic slosh you’re going to get from most of the surrounding options. So if you just want your coffee to be bitter and hot, or devoid of all flavor after being drowned in milk, then this place probably isn’t going to be for you. The coffee is sourced from interesting roasters and has great flavor profiles. Options are pretty diverse and both food and drink cater to a variety of dietary and allergy restrictions. I’ll look forward to coming back whenever I travel through the city again
