I went to Sultan’s Palace on Saturday 11th May with my parents for our evening meal. It was a really awesome end to our day out in Liverpool, and I can’t wait to go back. 😊
We went at 5:00 PM when they first open for the evening. All of the staff were very warm, welcoming and friendly from the second we walked through the door, to when we left at the end of our meal. They also were helpful and offered me a bit of guidance such as guiding me up the little step in the restaurant, as I am visually impaired.
This was my first visit here. My parents have been a few times, however, I would absolutely recommend dining here if you are out in Liverpool.
I had the chicken Jalfrezi which I asked for with extra spice, as I have always loved very spicy cuisine from a very young age! I had a side of ridge cut chips with that instead of rice, and we also had poppadoms to start with a chutney tray which contained a selection of different chutneys to choose from with onion and cucumber salad to go with them. My Mum also had the chicken Jalfrezi made with extra spice, and we both also shared a bottle of Prosecco, and to top it off, we both had a little bottle of Prosecco as well.
Dad also really enjoyed his food. He went for the fish Buna.
I was also really made up to bump into one of the staff who works at my old school who I recognised almost immediately. That brought back all of the great memories which I will never forget, as I went to a school for the blind in Liverpool for seven years and saw her every day, and I left school severn years ago.
All of the food and drinks we had were absolutely amazing, and I can’t fault it at all. The decor inside the restaurant is beautiful. It has been described to me as having arches which makes it look like a royal Indian palace. 😊 The restaurant was quiet at first, as we were the first people there, but then it got quite busy, so it’s very popular. Sultan’s Palace is also one of the very best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food and drink, the traditional Indian classical music playing in the background and the traditional Indian decor.
Thank you for everything, and I hope to come...
Read moreTerrible food. Really really disappointed. Was expecting a lot better as I read so many positive reviews online. Food was poor quality, cold and everything tasted like it had been thrown in the microwave. Attempted to eat the food I left the majority of it as it was bland and tasted like a microwave meal. A complete waste of £40. Rice was cold, like everything else. Ordered extra poppadoms, but my order only came with one poppadom crushed up to tiny crumbs. Paid for extra poppadoms which weren’t received. Also Forgot the chutney tray and when I called to complain said I would receive a complimentary item next time when ordering. Don’t understand how they will do this when you can only order off just eat/Deliveroo. Won’t be ordering again anyway. Seekh kebab was cold and not cooked properly. Horrible raw pink colour inside and wouldn’t touch as i’m pregnant. I’ve had better Chicken tikka masala microwave meals. The chicken in both tikka massala and rogan josh was chewy and not soft. Paid £3 for a tiny portion of crinkle cut chips which weren’t even cooked properly. And the garlic nan had a weird background taste - shouldve just got plain. Most definitely wont be ordering again and really disappointed. Also came in about 20 minutes of ordering which seemed too good to be true as it is at least a 10 minute drive. Really disappointed and was expecting...
