What a fantastic place, no wonder their neighbors are jealous about them. (read to the end for details.) The staff were incredibly accommodating, even with our large group of 13 people. Food was perfect, absolutely delicious. A few of us were vegetarian so we got the vegetarian meal for 4, and each dish complimented the other, and every bite was full of flavour. I'm very pleased that they had really tasty veg options available. They were so good that when I came back to my seat, one of our carnivore friends was sitting in my seat tucking into one of the vegetarian dishes and he was definitely enjoying it. (I felt bad asking him for my seat back lol)
The service was impeccable and every staff member was polite, and attentive. They had very good banter, and made sure that our every need was met. They are hardworking, patient professionals who will ensure you get the service you want and deserve. We were definitely very well looked after, and were even offered chocolates on the way out.
This restaurant is so good that it has very bitter, jealous neighbors. There's a restaurant just across from it, and a few of our group were outside chatting whilst others had gone inside to sit upon arrival. One of the staff members from the neighboring restaurant walked across the street to tell one of our friends something to the tune of "good luck with the stomache aches" and then he casually strode off back to his home turf. That was the most immature thing I've ever seen a competing restaurant do.
I can tell you that I went outside twice to smoke before our group was finished dining, I caught a glimpse of the inside of that diabolical restaurant and I never saw anyone dining inside, at all. Perhaps it was desperation and jealousy that upon seeing us outside, they thought to try some underhanded ploy to get us to change our minds and go to their establishment instead. Hahahaha, clowns. We chose the...
Read moreWe visited Preem Brick Lane a bit close to their closing time — it was almost 1:40 PM, and they were supposed to close at 2. At first, they kindly asked if we could take the food away, which was completely understandable. But we requested to dine in since we were celebrating our best friend’s birthday. To our delight, they agreed with such warmth and a smile — and that’s where the lovely experience began.
Our food arrived within 10 minutes, and technically we had only about 10 minutes to eat, but not once did they rush us. We finished around 2:20, and the staff never made us feel uncomfortable or hurried. Instead, they made sure we felt welcome and relaxed the entire time.
And the food — what can I say — absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served beautifully. But beyond the food, what truly touched us was their hospitality and kindness.
We came to know that the staff were from Bangladesh — one from Rampura, Dhaka, who took our order and served us so warmly, and another from Sylhet, who first welcomed us in. Both were incredibly polite, humble, and genuinely friendly. It felt like being among our own people, far from home.
It wasn’t just about eating and paying for food — it was about being treated with care, respect, and heart. The ambience was cozy, the atmosphere filled with that authentic warmth that makes a place memorable.
We left with full hearts and happy smiles. Definitely a 10/10 experience — both for the food and for the people.

We made the mistake of walking into Preem on Brick Lane, expecting a decent meal and a good evening. What we got instead was one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time.
Right from the moment we entered, the staff were cold and unwelcoming. The manager especially behaved like we were an annoyance – no greeting, no courtesy, just pure attitude.
Then came the food, which honestly felt like an afterthought. Tasteless, oily, and completely forgettable. We had to force ourselves through a few bites before giving up. And to top it all off, they charged us for items we never even ordered. When we questioned it, the manager was dismissive and unapologetic – like it was our fault.
The service was equally pathetic. Long waits, careless attitude, and no basic attention given to customers. It felt like they were doing us a favour by letting us eat there.
We finally had enough and decided to leave – easily the best decision we made that night.
Just a few steps away, we found The Monsoon Restaurant – and the contrast was like night and day. The staff there were warm and welcoming, the food was full of flavour, and the service was smooth and respectful from start to finish. It was everything Preem failed to be, and more.
It’s honestly embarrassing for Preem that their direct competition on the same street can do everything right while they can’t even get the basics sorted.
If you’re heading to Brick Lane – skip Preem completely and go to The Monsoon instead. Better food, better service, and most importantly, they actually value their customers. Preem?...
