I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering from them. They say they are an authentic Italian cuisine. Not at all.
I ordered:
calamari fritti: not fresh at all. It smelled like calamari but hasn't even tasted like calamari. I actually had to remove the batter from one of the rings to make sure there was a calamari there, because the texture as well was quite weird. I had 3 rings and threw the rest away. Sooooo oily, even the tartare sauce had a layer of oil on the top. The calamari rings were obviously frozen and bought really cheap. An Italian would never serve calamari with that amount of batter, it supposed to be with a sprinkle of flour and that's it. They shouldn't look like onion rings.
pizza with tuna and prawns: there was no tuna at all and the prawns didn't taste like prawns. I ate 3/4 because I was hungry, but it was also oily and the base was a joke from someone that says their food is authentic Italian. The base is like cheap frozen pizza bought in a cheap supermarket.
chocolate fudge cake: not bad, but nothing special. Again, clearly a shop bought cake.
For a family run business, I expected the food to be more homemade; not absolutely everything, but at least something.
I'm giving 2 stars because the food arrived warm enough (despite arriving late), and because no items were missing from the order; therefore, I won't order from them again.
Be careful with their food inspection report: it's only 3 out of 5. I hope I...

I’ve been coming to Amo La Pasta every Friday like clockwork, and it never disappoints. I guess you could say I’m the “weekly Friday guy” at this point! 😄 Their spaghetti bolognese is my absolute favoritecomforting, rich, and full of flavor. The meat sauce is perfectly seasoned, and the pasta is always cooked just right. It’s the kind of meal that keeps you coming back, and trust me, I do.
The staff are friendly, welcoming, and they always remember my order, which just adds to the experience. It’s not just a restaurant it's become part of my weekly routine and something I really look forward to.
If you haven’t tried Amo La Pasta yet, do yourself a favor and go. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, you’re in for a great...
Read moreSpent time looking for somewhere that had Puttanesca on the menu for delivery local to me. Amo La Pasta had a lovely photo and great menu. So ordered Calamari starter, Puttanesca Main & Tiramisu dessert. Waited 40 minutes ( very reasonable for fresh cooked food) for delivery. *Starter - Very hard Calamari rings, mostly inedible - Deffinitely not fresh sadly - tastes deep fried frozen.. Ate 2 or 3 pieces, left rest Main - Very peppery but pleasant Puttanesca. Not much in the way of anchovy, but overall, nice flavour. Dessert - Was left out of delivery..
Overall not a fabulous first experience BUT will give Amo La Pasta...
