Had a family dinner here. This newly opened place has great potential. The owner spent a lot on interior design. The place was quiet, so unbelievable for Kensington. I liked the quality of food, ordered mixed grills and meze. The kebabs were soft, well cooked, and had a balanced amount of spices, the way I like. Salads were fresh. So 5 stars to the kitchen. There were some issues however, some drinks in our order were forgotten, had to remind. Also I think they need to add some sharing platter options to the menu. Like "mixed kebabs" for 2. Or meze platter for 2 or 4. Otherwise dish sizes are strictly limited to 1 person. They need to pay attention to the toilets: toilet paper almost ran out, there was no soap left and no paper tissue to dry hands. That's not acceptable. The owner has to fix those management issues, I know they just opened and still learn, otherwise when the flow of customers increases those issues could grow much bigger. I had dinner at Anbar in London and was seriously impressed. The food was full of flavour, fresh, and clearly made with care. We started with some mezze – the hummus was smooth and rich, the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bread was warm and freshly baked. Simple things done really well.

For mains, the grilled lamb stood out — tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Everything was nicely presented and the portion sizes were generous without being over the top.

The service was great too. Friendly, welcoming staff who were happy to make suggestions and check in without being overbearing.

We finished with kunafa and mint tea — a perfect way to end the meal. The kunafa was crisp, sweet, and not too heavy.
