Bar Tozino - Spanish Tapas Restaurant London — Restaurant in London

First and last time here. Humiliating experience, never again, avoid at all cost. If you want a Spanish restaurant in the area clearly go to Andanza, service is significantly better and food (looks) tastier and more elaborated.

Let’s explain why…so we (couple in a date night) arrive to the venue which looks decent for a cozy date night. The place offers 2 different seats inside or a few tables outside, it is busy but definitely not full. We decide to get a table outside, after a couple of min on the terrace waiting for service I walk inside to get drinks and a waitress tells me “you cannot get the drinks, wait for me to take the order, we are short of stuff it will take 10min”. 15min after our arrival, the waitress takes the order (for drinks only) as she takes the order for a table next to us. 15 min later we get the drinks, lovely wines to be fair. After 35min at the venue (I love to use the timer when reviewing new places) we get a waiter to take the food order from us, first thing we want they don’t have it. Interesting to see how from 10min of ordering a lovely couple next to us they get 2 items we also ordered, another table outside same things (croquettes and prawns). Meanwhile our food order is absent. 49 minutes after we arrive, a new couple arrives, they take their full order after 59 minutes (of our arrival, 10min after their arrival).

We spot two individuals inside the restaurant that arrived after us already eating their hot food, I went to check that it wasn’t olives but cooked/hot food. I go to complain to the waiter that is nearby given that I have been one hour at the venue with no luck for the food, when the waitress spots I am complaining she brings the bread. The waiter tells me I can leave without paying given that I have been waiting for an hour and I show him my timer. After checking local options we go somewhere else (crystal China) 1h4min after arrival.

Menu of Bar Tozino looks very nice but the service makes the experience unbearable, competition in restaurants nearby should be very pleased of the staff at this venue....

7 of us sat down just for drinks and the bar manager came over and asked us to leave saying she only has two waiters and doesn't have the capacity to serve us. We said we can just get drinks from the bar and return the glasses if that's okay and she said no. We then waited for another table to clear. Two tables of 8 cleared and another customer was kind enough to hold the table for us, we go to sit down and she says she doesn't have the capacity to serve us still. But after we left she sat more people down. Not sure if she's having a bad day and just made assumptions about our group because we had more POC in it and the customers seated were all white but it definitely left a sour taste. Very disappointed as we heard great things about this place before and couldn't try it at all.

As a reply to the business: We categorically said multiple times we wanted just drinks. At one point we even said we could be happy to get our own drinks from the bar and return them to the bar if that was okay and we were told no.

The other tables of 8 sat there did not have to book, which is what they told us, and they were actually eating as well so not pleased with this reply at all.

You can seat 2 tables of 4 but not 8 people? If that was the case the manager should have just that we could seat you but would have to split your group into two tables. There's no reason to...

Absolutely awful service and food was well below average. We ordered 2 portions of Croquettes, we waited over 45 minutes and asked on several occasions where our croquettes order were? During this every table around was getting Croquette orders, when questioning for 10th time a waiter confronted us saying that he did deliver us the food and that we were lying . Absolutely ludicrous. They then told us they had run out of croquettes after serving the whole world and it’s wife Croquettes apart from us. The prawns are all frozen defrosted and tasted very bad and not fresh at all, three of us all were vomiting within a few hours of eating them. The iberico ham is some of the worst we have tasted and certainly doesn’t deserve the price tag. When speaking to the bar man when we complained and he just turned round said ‘I know it’s shit’ and shrugged it off like it didn’t matter and i was just supposed to deal with it.I am a doctor and have very little time off and work hard for many days of the week and was looking forward to enjoying some time off with my family but this place did it’s best to ruin that. if you are in a similar position to me I suggest u avoid this place.
