Martini Bar — Restaurant in London

We stopped here for a cocktail after having dinner at the Brasserie, what a mistake and what a pity. The place is beautiful and the bar is well maintained. The main issue were the cocktails, they are priced quite well in comparison to other London cocktail bars but you get what you pay for. Unbalanced flavours and the classical cocktails part of the menu seemed to be sponsored by angostura bitters as it was added to most of the sours, 2 out of the 3 classic sours on the menu. Terrible staff! Stood at the bar waiting for over half an hour without getting served. Kept trying to politely get their attention but they ignored me. It was not even that busy and there were 4 of them working, but they were extremely slow and ponderous when making cocktails and there was absolutely no awareness from any of them of who was next to be served. Nice enough bar in the Barbican.

Excellent interior with comfy seating. The menu has a nice selection of classic cocktails and some unique martini drinks on offer.

Our espresso martini was great tasting but a little too much foam and on the sweet side.

Service was OK, just average at best.
