I always respect a brilliant food place but this one is the best out of most places I have been.Been here three times now and never been dissapointed..The hot drinks are one of the best I have ever had,veg sandwich is definitely the best I have had,cakes definitely the best I had! The service is absolutely perfect.I will recommend everyone that visit Russell square and in London to definitely try this brilliant coffee and food place out because it's a hidden gem and definitely walks over any coffee place including the very top organisation..This is definitely the best and brilliant from the owners hope u have plenty of these all over the county because that's how good this place is..Well done and definitely the best 👌 Ps.Just read some negative reviews but honestly I disagree with them because everything I had from this place has been perfect but let say if they did let their standard drop it would still be better than most places..I do believe they if they let standard drop it definitely would still be the best out there! There is not a place up north that can match them on there sandwichs,hot drinks or cakes..I have been to coffee shops and food places abroad and not one has standards like here..The standard is very high and services with all this it's worth coming to this place.It so sad that places like Bloomsbury coffee co are very rare..Will always be visiting this place when in London..I will definitely pay ur money back if u don't like it because I know all true people will not complain just give a well done to the owners! I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. I ordered an iced latte, which is usually a safe bet, but it wasn’t good. I also tried the vegan cinnamon roll. It was okay, nothing memorable, but not bad either. The main issue, though, was the service. The barista was in a conversation with two other people (possibly staff or a manager) and took quite a while, about a minute or so, before even acknowledging me. It felt a bit awkward just standing there, waiting. When she finally did take my order, she didn’t seem very welcoming and appeared slightly annoyed, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable. One thing that really put me off was seeing her grab ice with her bare hands. Now, to be fair, she may have just washed them but as a customer, I can’t know that for sure, and it didn't feel very hygienic. Throughout the interaction, she also kept talking over me or engaging with the others during our exchange, which made me feel very awkward. I can’t speak for the rest of the baristas working there, but the barista we had, given the fact that there was no one else there, delivered quite frankly idle service. It may seem like a small thing, but we ordered two flat whites, flat whites which require two shots of coffee, not one. I should know as I’m a barista and also, another customer ordered the exact same drink after us and received two shots. To save time, this barista put only one shot each into our coffees and didn’t even bother to clean the portafilter before making our coffee, nor the customer after us’ coffee. This is just lazy, and given the lack of business at that point, pathetic. What’s more, when I asked him if two shots were in there, he said yes. Liar.
