TAKE THE FEEDBACK!!! Very rude staff, extremely long wait for drinks and food, food orders incorrect. We were a family group of 7 wanting a late breakfast and decided that this place ticked all the boxes. We were told there would be a wait of 10-15 mins, no problem, we went off for a mooch and then waited outside until we were told our table was ready. We were shown to 2 tables of 4 backing on to each other. Ah well, but we knew they were busy. After approx 20 mins and being prompted, a woman came and took our food and drinks orders. 5 of the drinks were cold (OJ etc) and just 2 coffees. We then waited at least 30 mins for the drinks and saw new customers come in and be served while we waited. A table of 2 by us got up and left and we thought it would be ok to move. that table 2 feet to one of our tables of 4 so that we could all sit together ie 7 people at a table for 6 (as weâre from different parts of the UK and were together for our last meal before going our separate ways after the marathon weekend) This left a table of 4, or 2 tables for 2, free. One of the waitresses started shouting and telling us not to move the table as she needed it for 2 customers and just wouldnât listen when we tried to explain we were leaving 2 tables free. We gave up as we felt really uncomfortable as other customers looked on. So, after a wait of an hour since ordering, our food arrived. One sandwich was toasted when this hadnât been requested and was missing 1 out of the 3 filling ingredients, white toast instead of wholemeal, 2 undercooked rashers of fatty bacon with the solid scrambled eggs, one sausage on a breakfast when 2 had been requested and for which we were charged extra. All very disappointing but we didnât complain as time was getting on. and we couldnât endure further delays. One of our party had to change a train ticket to a later time at a cost of ÂŁ20 was we waited. When we asked for the bill, we were very brusquely told to pay at the counter although all the other customers had their bills brought to them and were able to pay at their table. We were sorely tempted to pay individually and make their life more difficult, but the bill was settled as a whole. When paying, some feedback was offered on the appalling customer service to which the response was âIâm fed up with hearing this every day!â!!!đ€Ł We left feeling angry at the terrible customer service offered by these âup their own arsesâ staff. This is an honest review of our experience at Bonne Bouche and as a previous cafe and B&B owner I know how stressful the business can be, but we were polite throughout and understanding as much as we could be. I would only ever post a negative review in extreme examples of poor...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered, my mum with a walking stick (on her birthday) sat at a table literally right behind me and made it clear we wanted to sit in, we paid before even receiving food. Before I could sit the manager starts shouting â THIS IS A TAKEAWAYâ even though many other guests and families, were sitting-in and there were many free tables also (bare in mind all the guests were blonde and white oddly) and me and my mum are brunette and not fully British, but always both get mistaken for looking arab/Middle-Eastern 99.9% of the time. The two women that served us tried to tell the manager âThey have paid already, just let them now sit like the other guestsâ. But the blonde European manager shouted again âYOU WANT TO SIT? YOU PAY TO SIT, HOW MUCH WAS THERE BILL? I NOW MUST CALCULATE THE CHARGE BEFORE THEY SITâ. The two brunette workers looked like they had second hand embarrassment and kept saying âthey have already paid, they have already paidâ. The manager starts demanding to them âWHAT DID THEY ORDER, WHAT DID THEY ORDER?â Bare in mind 10 mins had passed and our paid-for pastries still hadnât been given to us and she was demanding and struggling for genuinely 10 mins how to calculate 10% of ÂŁ21 which was overpriced for 2 weirdly warm iced coffees and 2 paper-bag tasting pastries. I asked for my pastries and said I do not wish to sit after such rudeness and should be demanding a refund or free item but donât want to spend another second in her presence. I have spent everyday of the last 8months in the hospital sitting beside my baby son and just wanted to take my mum out for 30mins on her bday right next to the most recent hospital my baby was transferred to. The nice 2 brunette workers kept repeating âsorryâ and âhappy birthdayâ to my mum. I cannot believe such a racist witch who isnât even British clearly herself, was so racially rude to 2 British customers in London, just because we donât look like we are British or white and werenât blonde and pale like herself or all the other people at all the other tables. This place needs a ban or boycotted to say the least. I will be back with law enforcements. Thatâs a promise. Be ready. I recorded everything (within what Iâm legally allowed to) in my rights as a customer and you will be sorry for ruining a special day at an already hard time, to a disabled person on her birthday with a walking stick and a polite customer who has purchased from you before but now will never purchase from you again and will spread the word about my experience on all of...
Read moreI am appalled by the service we received as a group of seven yesterday. When we initially entered the lady working on the takeaway counter/serving patisseries was really lovely, set our expectations on timescales for being seated etc and was fantastic. Once seated we waited a very long time for someone to take our order, the waitress was extremely rude throughout. Once the order was taken, we then waited 25 minutes for our drinks to be brought over. There was no apology at all for the wait. When the food arrived, two of the orders were wrong - we didnât even challenge this as we knew it would take a long time to be remade but just highlighted that the waitress definitely wasnât listening when taking our order. Following this, I asked for the bill to be told âyou come to me at the counter to payâ. I didnât think anything of this to then see an American couple having their bill brought to them. When the waitress collected plates etc, she was slamming cutlery down on plates and multiple other diners kept looking up shocked at her attitude. When we did go to pay the bill at the counter, as I left I stated to the waitress that the service had been appalling and that it really let the cafe down. At which point the waitress spoke directly over me and said âIâm fed up of this, hearing this every single dayâ. I was flabbergasted. I walked out of the restaurant at this point but I really think there is a lesson here. If you as a waitress are being told that your service is poor, please take that feedback on and improve rather than shouting at customers/slamming plates and cutlery. Absolutely...
