Brunch not as I used to know it
Not been here for long awhile and was super excited to come here but was left disappointed.
To summarise this review – change of management few months ago , old chiefs left new crew in and standard have dropped drastically.
My go to items has changed in taste and size, these where my favourite as the products used and its taste was unique.
The desi platter has been changed and was horrible apart from the parata and that says a lot. The masala sausages taste like plain chicken sausages (why change them), masala beans smelt off and tasted weird, masala chips the sauce was non exitance, masala egg was just nasty (why change the flavour) and the halwa was bland, not a hint of sweetness and had a weird smell to it.
The burrito has been changed too, the rice is no longer big in grain size and was not spicy at all and had far less flavour than it previously had. Seems like and pan fry job with some spices. The chicken was over cooked, and the marinade was different along with the sauce.
The full English was actually alright but nothing like before. I missed the round hashbrown not idea why they changed it. The mushroom was seasoned differently. The turkey bacon was not as flavoursome as before. The beans were dried out not saucy at all. I am glad they kept the same chips as the are very tasty and the most unique item is the smoked jumbo sausages, I am glad they kept that as it is as this item cannot be found anywhere.
Will I come back……… yes just for the smoked sausages! Hopefully standards will be restored to its...
Read moreWhere do I start? Once you walk in, you are greeted by the lovely members at the front-of-house, and are immediately made to feel welcome in this lovely local restaurant. The menu was very simple and had a wide range of options to cater for whatever your taste desires — every item on the menu sounded really good and I wasn’t sure what to get so I asked for a recommendation from a man who worked there, called Na’eem. His customer service and recommendation was second to none, and I find I am a hard person to impress. I got the Stacked Burger and it consisted of a beef patty, a chicken breast, an onion ring and halloumi cheese. I was unsure to begin with as I’ve never combined beef and chicken, but this restaurant and the chef responsible executed this combination in an unimaginable away. I also ordered a side order of their own recipe shrimp and this also was a 10/10 option. I could not fault this place in the slightest, as the customer service and food was top tier and easy on the wallet. A great bonus included a few local amenities such as on-street parking (limited), & local parking which was a minute away from the restaurant. Transport links are great too and I am already planning another visit with my friends and will definitely recommend Brunch Stratford to my other friends, family and colleagues. Keep up the good work guys, it was an...
Read moreAn Absolute Gem – One of the Best Brunch in London!
During my parents’ visit to the UK for my graduation, we stumbled upon this charming little spot while exploring London—and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! Without a doubt, this place serves one of the top 5 English brunches I’ve ever had.
What makes it so special? The magic lies in its simplicity. No overpowering sauces or fussy twists—just honest, beautifully executed dishes that let the ingredients shine. The mushrooms (my personal favourite!), crispy hash browns, perfectly toasted bread, and eggs with that ideal runny yolk were all flawless. Even the American-style burger was juicy and packed with flavour. And here’s the highest praise: it won over my parents’ notoriously picky Chinese taste buds—no small feat!
Beyond the incredible food, the owner was an absolute delight—warm, genuine, and full of positive energy. Chatting with him was a joy.
I truly hope this little treasure gets the attention it deserves. Wishing the business all the success in the world—I’ll...
