This restaurant was a bit of a disappointment.

My dad and I came here to try some authentic Korean food after seeing it all over the internet. After seeing how many people seemed to enjoy it we had high expectations that unfortunately weren't met.

We had ordered the Potato Hotdog (a pork sausage with batter, potatoes on the outside) and the Half and Half (half cheese half sausage with batter in the outside with sugar) as well as a Small Ddukbokki.

We'll start off with the ddukbokki. I didn't mind this though my dad wasn't a fan. It is a lot spicier than I would've expected it to be and the texture was chewy and soft. The sauce was almost like a spicy creamy tomato soup, in my opinion. As well the ddukbokki it also came with a fish skin that tasted bland so you could only taste the sauce and the texture was like a vegetarian meat substitute.

Next we'll move onto the Potato Hotdog. My dad ordered this and said: "The potato part was nice and crispy but the dough is very thick and it didn't really have much flavour. The sausage was like any old frankfurter. I really didn't enjoy it and without the ketchup and mustard I wouldn't be able to eat it."

The Half and Half wasn't that good either. The cheese half was definitely better than the sausage side in my opinion as I think it was evened out by the sugar and had quite a nice texture. Like my dad said the sausage wasn't anything special and definitely wasn't enjoyable. The sugar and batter mixture had a nice taste and texture and, to me, was the best part of the 'hotdog'. I wouldn't get this again.

In conclusion, I'm sorry to say, but I would not recommend this place. It feels like it was just made for the hype of this new cuisine and not because they had spent time to make their food and wanted to share it. I feel like there are a lot of cafes/ restaurants that could do better then this but maybe this place is to other people's cup of tea and not mine.

So I went for the original and Doukbokki of cheddar. I have to say it definitely satisfies my hunger cravings it was the right consistency of dough, not too cakey. The sausage was nice and it was crispy on the outside. The sauces on top were all really nice, went for a trio of their house mayo, mustard and ketchup. I thought the original would have cheese in it but it must have been another item on the menu as it was just sausag, it wasn't the clearest. It came pretty quickly but I saw they are constantly being made and piled up and then someone just makes them to order. These should be eaten immediately because I walked out and tried to find a small corner outside by seven dials and it was luke-warm at that point. The doukbokki with cheddar was nice, didn't quite know exactly what it was but the rice pieces were like gnocchi texture shaped like penne pasta and I think it was kimchi style sauce and vegetables. Kinda spicy and didn't finish it.

I'd definitely go again and try the other hotdog item WITH CHEESE and with potato pieces. I think it's also fairly priced too.

It's fairly congested inside and awkward area to stand waiting for your food but they make it work pretty well. Also staff are...

A quick cheap snack in london nowadays is hard to come by, so when I heard Bunsik were selling Korean corn dogs I made straight for the location. Greeted by a long noodle like cue i had enough time to scan the menu, my ignorance got the better of me as I didn’t quite understand what was what and felt confused for a brief second. my confusion melted away when I clocked the corn dog menu on display and that made ordering a lot easier. I opted for the half and half consisting of half mozzarella and half frankfurter. You have a choice of three sauces on top and I went for Korean mayo (buldak) mustard and ketchup. Other options include the octodog, (Frankfurter tentacles) potato dog and cheese on cheese dog.

The line goes very quick but the wait for your corn dogs can get crowded in the small waiting area. The wait is totally worth it!! The hybrid of Korean sauce and style on an American streetfood is just the snack for on the go you need! The combination of the spicy mayo frankfurter and mozzarella makes this my go to street food when in Leicester Square.

Side quest- I tried the kimini, glass noodles wrapped in seaweed. Tasted similar to veg spring rolls but much better texture Absolutely...
