Dined here last night, immediately could walk in with staff welcoming me and my partner very warmly with smiles and overall positive energy. We were sat in an adorable little booth and service was extremely efficient with starters coming within 15 minutes and mains + sides coming around 10 minutes after our waitress, Natasha whom was one of the sweetest individuals I've ever experienced as a server. Giving good recommendations and sweet but short conversation and immediately making sure we had no allergies from the start. Overall a lovely experience from her so personal thanks :). The food, as well, was very enjoyable with exceptional sized portions that left me absolutely stuffed. The hot buffalo chicken wings were flavourful and crispy and the presentation was exceptional. The steaks that we ordered - the entrecôte sirloin or ribeye, can't quite remember were great. The entrecôte sauce was amazing, I may be biased because that is my favourite sauce to put on a steak, but the chefs did it well. The peppercorn sauce my partner ordered on his steaks was also great and full of flavours. We also ordered the mac and cheese which was also really tasty. Creamy cheese sauce and a crisp layer of baked cheese on top. It was nice to be in the restaurant, especially on a Sunday night where you'd expect it to be packed with crowds of people, yet the atmosphere was good enough to be able to hear each other speak at a normal tone and volume. Another note, I also enjoyed the interior, as you can noticeably tell that effort has been put in the favour and benefit of the customer, which is always appreciated. Overall, the energy was extremely enjoyable, so was the food and experience in this steakhouse and will definitely revisit soon.

Again, another personal thank you to our server, Natasha for helping this experience to be as lovely as it was!...

We went with my girlfriend to this stake house on a saturday night for dinner. The food was genuinely impressive. The steak was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavour, exactly what you’d hope for from a central London steakhouse.

The sides and desserts were also enjoyable, and the menu offers a good variety for meat lovers. As for the cocktails, they were just okay—nothing particularly memorable, but they did the job and complemented the meal well.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. I made sure to mention a promotional offer at the start of our meal (from The Fork) , and the waiter assured me it would be applied to the bill without the Drinks. However, when the bill arrived, the full price was shown and the promotion had not been deducted. Whether this was an oversight or not is unclear, but it left a sour note at the end of the meal. Staff should be more attentive to such requests, especially after confirming them verbally. I reccomend double-checking your bill before paying the staff might want to scam you or they are just negligent...

The biggest disappointment was the state of the toilets. They were filthy, with an overwhelming smell of vomit that made them almost unusable. This is simply unacceptable for any restaurant, especially one in a prime London location. Clean, well-maintained facilities are a basic expectation, and their absence detracts significantly from the overall dining experience.

According to UK consumer guidance, you have the right to expect clean and safe toilet facilities in restaurants, which were obviously not met. This was disgusting and huge disappointment. Lucky i only had to use the toilet after we already...

Review of Angus Restaurant:

During my second visit to Angus Restaurant, I indulged in their Grilled Scottish Salmon, priced at £21.95. The salmon, seasoned with a delightful honey-garlic soy sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds, was perfectly complemented by tender-stem broccoli. The flavor and presentation were exceptional, making it a memorable dish.

I also tried the Salt & Pepper Calamari, costing £8.45. The combination of tartar sauce, lemon, red chillies, and coriander cress elevated the dish, offering a pleasant burst of flavors that tantalized my taste buds.

Reflecting on my previous visit, I had ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken. The salad is offered with either salmon (£21.95) or chicken (£19.95). While the salad itself was satisfactory, the chicken addition didn't quite meet my expectations, lacking the flavor and quality I anticipated.

Regarding the overall ambiance and service, Angus Restaurant exudes class and offers an amazing dining experience. However, there was a slight hiccup in service during my recent visit. My order, when ready, was mistakenly offered to another table before being correctly identified as mine. This minor issue of attentiveness was not in line with my previous, more professionally-handled experience, especially considering the restaurant wasn't as crowded. I hope this was a one-off incident and that the restaurant will pay more attention to such details in the future.

Despite this, the quality of the food assures me that I will revisit Angus Restaurant on my future trips to London. The culinary delights offered are worth experiencing, and I believe the service inconsistency might have been an...

Post-theatre dinner - with Halal meat (yay!). This place has its very own Halal menu, which was just perfect for us - albeit a bit pricey. There was plenty of seating space inside and we didn’t have to book a table, we were able to walk-in (I called ahead and they advised to just walk-in) and we didn’t have to wait long once we got there. All of this matters when you are hungry and in a place as busy as Leicester Square. We experienced very friendly and welcoming staff - they were all so nice Mohammed (such a sweet, welcoming guy!), Rentzi and Marcos. This makes a big difference, making us feel welcome and not rushed. The manager was such a gent too, allowing us to move table when a large birthday party came and sat next to our original seating spot - which we wanted to avoid as we wanted a more private spot for my own birthday meal. The food was good, steak was a bit tough to be honest (I ordered medium-well done), but mash and calamari starters were fine and tasty. It's bit pricey so don’t expect anything cheap here guys. Our starters came super quick - which was good as we were hungry. We got a sirloin and a steak with sides etc, which was fine (but could be more tender) and there was hardly a spot left on our plate. All in all a good experience and definitely one I'd recommend if you are going to one of the many nearby theatres, or if you are looking for a Halal dining experience in the area. The staff seem trustworthy, welcoming and the service is at a good pace (we came around 6pm).

We came to London for our wedding anniversary and while walking around China Town looking for lunch, we ended up here, just outside China Town. Being South African, I love my steak, so an obvious choice to end up in a steak house. Staff were very nice and friendly and seemed like they love their jobs here. We ordered steaks and something to drink. Waiting time wasn't very long and I've spend the time looking at the decor which were very nice and did give me that steakhouse feeling. When the food came it looked very tasty and the actual taste didn't disappoint either. In fact, this was probably the best steak I ever had. I chose for myself the chefs special steak cut strips with a super nice wild mushroom sauce and onion rings. The wife chose a steak and some sweet potatoes chips and onion rings to go with as the steaks comes on the it own. Eating the steak was a pleasure as it was so soft and well cooked, we like our steak medium rare, and the charred grill on it was done to perfection. The sweet potato chips was perfect done to with a soft texture and a little crisp outside that almost melt in your mouth as you chew it. It was a little on the pricey side for my stingy wallet, but taking into account the fact we're in the heart of London and its probably the best steak we've ever eaten, we felt the price was justified and we are still talking about the quality of the food now.
