The Establishment; Atmosphere and decor is good clean and welcoming with a counter display full of delicious looking pastries.
Food & Drink; The Full English was ok but the sausage and bacon should be advertised as not being pork, my wife was disappointed but I still thought it was tasty as I finished it off. The shakshouka was excellent and was the perfect brunch which I thoroughly enjoyed! Our fresh fruit juices were just that very fresh and lovely but served at room temperature chilled or over ice would have been nice.
Service; The service was there only downfall we where charged at 12.5% and tbh i think we should of asked to have it removed. 11am on a Wednesday morning and it wasn’t busy. With two servers behind the counter and two on the floor. There was no meet and great no sense of urgency no menus on the tables and no idea wether we were to approach the counter to order or wether to just stay seated and wait!? And wait we did for 10min plus before I finally went up to the counter where I was told it was table service so I sat back down and waited another 10min. Twenty minutes after entering our order was taken. Our drinks and food were prompt that can be said! But there where no condiments offered and when we did try to get some service there were staff milling around but with no eye contact or interest in there patrons, the youngest even after I’d caught his eye carried on looking at his phone. And it wasn’t just us we over heard other customers asking to be served.
We enjoyed our meal paid our bill and went on our way but based on this experience we would not return.
We are in a unique position in that we own our own public house and restaurant and are very aware of what it takes to make hospitality a success and give good customer service.
In this climate with so much competition out there you really do have to do better I’m afraid!

Read moreFood: Have had different meals here over the years, overall it seems average.
Venue: Venue is clean, a bit cramped indoors but still ok.
Staff: Generally polite.
Negative: Forced Service charge, even without real service:
Had a main meal which I went up to order, put the service charge for it even though I wasn’t properly waited on like a normal restaurant, worse this happened without being told.
I noticed the price on the till differed from the menu price.
As a goodwill gesture I paid it.
Later I ordered a tart, before I took it to my table I noticed an increased price again, I asked to have the service charge taken off as I’m aware there isn’t a legal obligation to pay it in this situation, plus I didn’t have “real” service.
Person at till said he can’t take it off as the till adds service charge automatically. So even if you’re having an order to go you’ll still be given this charge.
Worse is the deceitfulness of it as this isn’t explained upfront.
Feedback: Please take off the automatic service charge, especially for cases when no real service is given when a person comes to the till.

Read moreI have never written a review before but am happy for this to be my first one. I dined in (had the full English breakfast and it was delicious) and was doing some work and reading before heading off to the bathroom. I had, in my inexperience, left my laptop one of the outside tables where I was sitting. When I returned, I found it missing, but the kind workers quickly informed me that they saw my laptop was out in the open and took it inside so that no one would steal it and advised me to never leave my laptop unattended in London. To a London native, this fact might be plainly obvious. However, as a student and tourist, I've become too accustomed with leaving my laptop out when going to the restrooms. I'm very grateful for the workers and their foresight and could not thank them enough. I also got a carrot, apple (?), ginger smoothie, and it was also delicious. Juice was fresh squeezed. For the some of the best prices I've found in all of London and the kindest service go to...
