The pub itself is very modern and spacey, I was very impressed and staff were friendly. As for the restaurant experience, I am giving a 5 star on the staff and service but three on the food. Like many after watching Asma Khan on Netflix, we were drawn to check out the food. I have done the same with Massimo B and Gaggan A, after they appeared on Chefs table. However those two blew me away with the culinary experience, the Darjeeling food experience was below par and offered nothing special. London having such diversity of culinary offerings especially in the Indian options, The entrees and mains failed to impress. Was ok, noting special unfortunately. They have a smaller kitchen and cannot make the signature biryani, thali sets, naan breads till the new restaurant opens. So I’ll give it another try in the new location when the chef team have all their resources. Maybe they were having a off day. The entree tiger prawns was the best out of the 4 dishes I tried, 8/10, the rest were a six. The masala chai and Falooda were 8/10.

Often busy in evenings certainly and some early afternoons, not always such a seemingful transient crowd but friendly. Always pleasant. Staff very nice. They do food too and they have a large restaurant area to the rear. I've never heard of any derogatory remarks regarding food and the menu is quite established and can seem to some imaginitive too, possibly if not familiar with eating out. This photo is of a small area by the window of the place and no-where near at their busier times during the week. Sometimes too, it can be less busy during the day and that is maybe a fifth of the seating excluding the restaurant area, plus they have lots of very nice upstairs seating too.

A nice open plan pub , sadly one where you have to pay for your pint before it’s even pulled ! ! Then it was a bodged up pint drawing off beer into glasses then trying to make a pint , not good and tasted terrible ! ! They were also more interested in trying different cocktails they had knocked up amongst themselves or sorting out the tv’s to what they wanted to watch before other customers ! ! I had planned on eating here on my travels but if this is how they look after the beer god help the food ! ! Not planning on returning anytime soon 👎

I attended this establishment on Sunday the 20th March 2016 as my family were taking me out for birthday lunch and celebrations as we went to sit in there restaurant area we chose one of there Booth's when suddenly a man appeared stating you CANNOT SIT THERE my son apologized thinking that area had been booked but it had not we were just not allowed to sit there there are 3 booth areas and two were already occupied 2 gentleman at one booth and a group of 4 at the other, these booths are for groups of 6 to 8 people I was told ? and I was not allowed to sit down this man then pointed to a small round table with 4 wooden chairs and stated you can sit here, excuse me ? Well sit here or nothing so I returned to the bar and the barman removed our drinks stating you won't be needing these then my son stated actually we have already purchased those drinks we consumed our drinks and left, we went over the road to another pub was greeted by smiles manners and respect we had a lovely meal all in all spending £160 with friends who joined us I would NEVER recommend the PEMBROKE to anyone, horrible experience and on my birthday which wasn't ruined by them as we went elsewhere,, a course in customer hospitality is needed as learning manners and respect...

Utterly shambolic service: Arrived for Sunday brunch; took the waiter 5 mins to find our table despite our name being written on it He forgot to give us any menus, so we had to go and find them ourselves He didn't come back to take our order so we eventually had to go and find him 20 mins later. When he finally came to our table, the first thing he said was "do you have a booking?" - despite having sat us there himself He didn't know how to use their ordering machine (we had to show him ourselves). He then refused to take our drinks order - told us we had to go to the bar and get it ourselves! The woman at the bar was utterly unapologetic ("we've had 2 people not show up, you should be thankful for those of us who have") He tried to serve us pizza 3 times - we hadn't ordered any pizza. After eventually serving us the correct food, he didn't bring us any cutlery - we had to go and get it ourselves When paying, he had the audacity to ask whether we wanted to tip (we did not)

I am honestly gobsmacked at how laughably poor this experience was - I can only advise to avoid this place like the plague, there are plenty of pubs in the area willing to provide a good level of service. I recommend the Atlas just...

The rudest waiting staff ever. Don't waste your trip visiting here. Arrived as part of a large group for dinner (that was prebooked 2 months ago), we were split up over 3 tables and ours was the first to order 4 ordered starters and 5 mains. Our friends had all been served and nearly finished eating and we were still waiting on starters. We asked waitress where was food her attitude was she only took order and did not cook food. The starter eventually arrived the crab scotch eggs were inedible, the croquettes were still cold in the middle, the sausage roll was disguisting and arrived with no sauce. The mains eventually arrived 2 pies which were only medicore, fish and chips the same and the sea bass was ok. The senior waitress came to the table because we had complained to our server and her attitude was horrible it was what are you complaining about and we were not expecting so many again as she was told it had already been prebooked. On a visit to London don't bother wasting your valuable time and money here much nicer food and service in many pubs and...
