Visited several times in the last few weeks for a hot drink. I wanted to try the Full English as it is reasonably priced for the Chelsea area at £8.95. Considering other places locally charge between 11.95-15.95. I tried their Full English, which looks and was tasty. However, they forgot my sausage, when I pointed it out, they laughed that they had forgotten sausage, they quickly got it, it tasted and looked charred. I think it had been sitting too long on the side. Tea is included, but you have to pay extra if it is herbal (most places tend to throw it in, as they are just throwing teabag in hot water). Food was fast to come, service was disappointing. When the food was brought there was no offer of salt, pepper, condiments or sugar for hot drink. Everytime I had to keep going up for condiment, made to feel like a pain, from look and tone of lady behind the the counter, even though it was not a busy day/time I went. Update: In my original review, I omitted that I found something in my food at the time, as I wanted to leave a fair review. I emailed the church/cafe at the time, but have not had a response from the owner - as the church said they forwarded on email to cafe portico as it is a external business. I probably wouldn't eat there again as I think the attitude of the staff sums up the attitude to food standards. This is a shame as the food was nice, and reasonably priced.

I often pop here on my hour lunch break. It's just a little hatch with tables at the front of the church. Freshly prepared sandwiches, hot food and drinks. Staff are friendly. If you are looking for Starbucks in and out rapid service this may not be for you but I have never had issues with the speed of service, especially since they make the sandwiches to order. I love getting a sandwich and sitting in the park next door watching the world go by.

Birds of a kind flock to this lovely Cafe, under the half arches of St.Luke’s Church in the heart of Chelsea. Sunny decorated tables, a quick service and yummy food…what else you may ask for under a tenner breakfast? I am glad you wonder…a nice cuppa of your drink, hot or cold, kindly made to order by sisters Sharon and Julie. Highly recommend to bring your kids and hubby on a lazy morning. Or lunch, why not?

I have never seen such a rude attitude before from both of the women working there. We went there to have a quick breakfast, while my husband was waiting at the counter to order and I was sitting at one of the tables with an almost empty coffee cup in my hand from Starbucks. I took the last sip to throw away the cup and one of the women working there came towards me with a very aggressive and rude attitude and told me that I couldn’t sit with that cup. I said ok, which is understandable of course, other than her disgusting attitude. Then she went inside, told the other women loudly that she warned me. The other one came, while I was trying to explain (silly me, why would you bother?) she again told me that I couldn’t sit. We decided to leave, instead of paying for their lower than average food. I said I went there almost everyday with my little one, asked the reason of their attitude, one of them said ā€œshe has never seen meā€. I am sorry for her age related eye problems but it is very obvious that they are taking the advantage of being the only...

Place appears decent but the staff are the laziest I’ve ever come across. I am not a Karen or someone with high standards, but when I went to order I got told to wait for her colleague who was having a fag - she didn’t serve me because she was cleaning a machine (can you not just take my order down?). Came back 5 mins later and got told to wait again for her colleague to return - do you not want my money?! Then came back a third time and asked them to do some cheese on toast with tomato as our kids are fussy eaters - they refused because they couldn’t price it because it’s not on the menu. I asked them to charge me a fiver and they refused.

I hope the owner sees this because these workers are bleeding your business dry. If one of the workers is the owner - wow, good luck trying to run a business without any...
