My recent visit to Prada’s pop-up location within Harrod was a delightful rendezvous with style and gourmet treats. This temporary establishment brought a touch of elegance and sophistication to the bustling mall, offering a unique and stylish dining experience.
Upon entering the café, I was immediately captivated by its chic and trendy ambiance. The thoughtful interior design, characterized by sleek furnishings, modern accents, and artistic displays, created an atmosphere that seamlessly blended fashion and culinary artistry. It was clear that every element had been carefully curated to provide an aesthetically pleasing environment that complemented the high-end shopping experience.
The café's menu was a testament to its dedication to gourmet delights. The selection of dishes showcased a fusion of flavors, innovative combinations, and a nod to international culinary trends. From carefully crafted specialty coffees and indulgent pastries to savory brunch options, each offering was a work of culinary art that delighted the senses.
The café's attention to detail extended beyond its stylish aesthetics. The quality of the ingredients used in the dishes was evident, with an emphasis on freshness and premium sourcing. The baristas skillfully crafted each cup of coffee, ensuring a rich and flavorful experience that surpassed expectations. The pastries, with their delicate layers and exquisite presentation, were not only visually appealing but also a delight to the taste buds.
The temporary nature of the pop-up café added a sense of exclusivity and urgency to the experience. It created a buzz among patrons who sought to savor the unique offerings available only for a limited time. The café's presence within the high-end shopping mall provided a perfect opportunity for a luxurious break from shopping, allowing visitors to indulge in a moment of relaxation and culinary pleasure.
The service at the designer café was attentive and professional. The staff members exuded a sense of passion for their craft, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring that each guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. Despite the café's temporary nature, the team's dedication to delivering a memorable dining experience was evident, adding to the overall satisfaction of the visit.
The only aspect that prevents me from awarding a perfect five-star rating is the limited duration of the pop-up café. As a temporary installation, it might not be available for long, which may disappoint those who wish to revisit or recommend it to others in the future. Nonetheless, the café's unique concept, exceptional offerings, and fashionable setting make it a must-visit destination during its limited run.
Our host Ahmet, recommended us to try their award winning ice cream and that hit our taste buds immediately. The creamy ice cream mixed with just right amount of flavors made it definitively the best ice cream we had. We are thankful to him for his suggestions and kind personality. It made our visit to this fine cafe definitely a very personal one.
In conclusion, the designer café's pop-up location within the high-end shopping mall offers a stylish retreat for those seeking a fusion of culinary excellence and trendy aesthetics. With its gourmet delights, attention to detail, and exclusive ambiance, this temporary installation is a delightful addition to the mall's offerings. I recommend experiencing the café's limited-time charms, indulging in its delectable treats, and embracing the sense of sophistication it brings to the...
Read moreLadies and gentlemen, fashionistas and foodies, brace yourselves because the Prada Caffè at Harrods is not just a café; it's a high-fashion, gastronomic extravaganza that'll leave your taste buds and Instagram feed in awe! 🍰☕
First things first, if you thought Prada was all about clothing and accessories, think again. They've brought their signature style to the world of culinary indulgence, and it's nothing short of fabulous. As you step into this café, it's like entering a Wes Anderson film set in Milan. Pastel hues, retro charm, and just a hint of kitsch – it's the kind of place where even your coffee cup is dressed better than you are!
Harrods knows how to throw a fashionable food party, from Dior's glittering gingerbread displays to Jimmy Choo's pink immersive dining experience. And now, Prada's in on the action. The café, discreetly tucked away on the ground floor behind alluring beauty displays, is a time warp to the 1950s with a Prada twist. Pistachio green walls, velvet banquettes, black-and-white checkered floors, and marble tables – it's pure Prada elegance.
If you're an aficionado of Prada's boutiques, you'll recognize the resemblance to their historic boutique in Milan. The attention to detail is immaculate, right down to the hand-blown crystal glassware adorned with Prada's triangular motif. Even the silverware handles echo the iconic logo. It's a fashionista's dream.
Now, onto the food! The Prada café's menu is a modern Italian masterpiece, from breakfast to aperitivo. Whether you're craving a cappuccino with Eggs Florentine or a savory pastry with prosciutto mid-shopping spree, they've got you covered. Lunch is a gourmet affair with dishes like Burrata with zucchini and Oven-roasted beef fillet with sautéed girolles and pistachio. And don't get me started on the cocktails – the 'Tuscan Blossom' and 'After-Show' are liquid works of art.
But it's the pastries that'll make your heart race. Delicate, pretty, and utterly delicious – the 72% dark chocolate cake with raspberry jelly is a must-try, as is the apricot sacher-torte and lemon cake with Sicilian lemon jelly. It's sweet-tooth heaven, and yes, you can take them away to savor later. And let's not forget the outdoor ice cream stall for a gelato fix!
So, if you want to indulge in a culinary runway show, head to the Prada Caffè at Harrods. It's where fashion meets food in the most glamorous way possible. After all, what's better than enjoying a pastry as stylish as your Prada bag? Run, don't walk, because this café is the runway success of the season! 🍽️👠 #PradaPerfection...
Read moreI had booked an appointment to come to this cafe weeks in advance. When I showed up, there was a waitress who ignored me, then told me that someone else would be there to greet and seat me, and then asked me, and then decided to help me. I don't know if her English skills were just that poor, or if she was being rude, but when I told her my name and that I had a reservation, she told me that I was at the wrong store and tried to send me off. I showed her my reservation confirmation, and despite having the reservation for weeks, she told me that there were no tables available in the back and that upstairs was closed. Mind you, I can see empty tables in the back, and I see a few people in the upstairs area. Despite this, I was seated at the cafe's walk-in style tables in the front. When I ordered a tea, and they brought me the cup, it was dirty, and you could visibly see particles from whatever had been in it before. When I told her that, she told me that it was the scratches from wear and tear. I reiterated to her that the wear and tear was not what I was referring to and that I was not comfortable with drinking from that cup. Instead of just bringing a new, actually cleaned cup, she proceeded to have a 10-minute discussion with her manager and sent him over to tell me the cup wasn't dirty. Not only did she waste my time talking to her manager for 10 minutes instead of just bringing a new cup, but her manager also wasted my time explaining to me what wear and tear are, and I had to tell him that I know the difference between wear and tear and food particles. If you're thinking about going, don't go to a real cafe; going for the Prada experience with the desserts is not worth it because the servers there don't know how...
