Review Updated. Now with pictures so you all can see this is a rip off.
Sincerely deplorable. A scam.
Never had to do a bad review in my life but this place needs to be qualified as it deserves.
Food, stale, overcooked and salty. Cleanliness, they use the same cloth for everything. We waited for an hour to be served. They charged for water poured from a big bottle (sparkling water with no gas) 3’6 pounds.
Cherry on top, 4’77 pounds for the service.
I understand running a business is tough, I have my own business too, but this is the next level and I feel totally scammed. Hope we don’t get food poisoning after this.
Please, read all the comments before go, do a bit of due diligence, and see why this is a rip off:
As a reply to my review, instead of apologising and saying that we were unlucky, owner alleged I left without paying and that they were busy. The room was half-full (there was a big table with 6-7 people) and then us (3 people). In any case that statement doesnt exclude you of providing a decent and hygienic service.
The payment was done at 21:09. I wish I took pictures of the food to also show it, maybe we went on a bad day, but did not look close to other pictures look like.
So dear owner and hope not-future customer, I reiterate what I said: stale food, bad service, and hygienically questionable methods. I support small business...
Read moreI tend to be quite reserved when it comes to doing these sorts of reviews. I'm always a little anxious when trying a new Chinese restaurant as the food can be very hit and miss. On this occasion I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this food. I don't see this to be dramatic but I would happily admit that the food I had at this restaurant was without question the best Chinese I have ever had in my 35 years on this planet. It began with a complimentary serving of pancake rolls which absolutely delicious. This was followed buy steamed and grilled pork dumplings which were the perfect combination the light crunch from the grilling and the steaming keeping them moist. For my main I had sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice. The rice was cooked beautifully there was no oily residue as you might usually expect from egg fried rice, it was light and fluffy. The sweet and sour chicken was small torn up pieces of chicken that had been freed rather than large balls of chicken which often lose their taste and become very dry. All the sauces for these different dishes were well made and tasted great. I would consider staying in this part of London again just to visit this restaurant once again. I can't recommend it...
Read moreThe little restaurant was full when we arrived, which I always think is a good thing. The staff were very nice indeed and the regal table and chairs looked fun.
There was no alcohol, so we were able to bring in drinks from the local convenience store at no extra cost – a nice touch.
Then the wait, and more wait, and more wait. Some dim sum came out and it was hard. As a lover of dim sum I’ve never in my life, left any uneaten, but I had to leave most of this inedible food to waste. The crispy duck was fine but like everything on the menu (compared to Chinatown), it was overpriced - $19.99 for quarter duck.
Then the wait again, and more wait and eventually the rest of the food came – egg fried rice took 1 hour and 25 minutes to arrive. We had to take this out due to the excessive time in the restaurant, and unfortunately was inedible too – a couple of pieces of egg and boiled rice only – no taste.
There are no words. Staff are very nice, food is rubbish and the service...
