This is a regular haunt of people in the area. If you arrive here on a clear day anytime after 11:45am, you'll be queuing around the inside of the restaurant and around the block. The queue will be there until around 2pm. This makes eating inside the café a bit of an ordeal as the members of the bustling queue will constantly brush by you. The food is all reasonably good but the real stand outs are the banh mi which takes second place. It is a standard Vietnamese sandwich made from French bread (which can be a little too crusty if you come later in the day) and their finest one is the beef and lemongrass one as the beef comes adorned by red chillis and a lemongrass broth. The best item by far though is the prawn Bun Hué. This is what most people queue up for. It is the perfect combination of hot and sour. The rice is lovely and chewy and the pork which I normally get is really nicely flavoured. I would have liked some more sauce with the pork but don't think that's possible as its more of a marinade. The spring rolls are spectacular and I always buy them. Get some of the sweet hoi sin sauce to dip them in.
The only downside is they require cash in store under £15 alternately you can now order online through their website and pickup in...
