Title: Coffee & Cones: A Chilled-Out Spot for Desserts and Tea in Fieldgate Street

Located on Fieldgate Street in Whitechapel, Coffee & Cones is a popular spot for dessert lovers and casual coffee enthusiasts. While the quality of the food and drinks might not be the highest in town, the friendly atmosphere, cozy setting, and convenient location make it a worthwhile stop for sweet cravings and a quick break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Upon entering Coffee & Cones, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance, with dim lighting, exposed brick walls, and comfortable seating arrangements. The décor is simple yet stylish, with pops of color from the vibrant desserts and drinks on display. The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends or simply enjoying a quiet moment alone.

The menu at Coffee & Cones features a wide variety of desserts, from classic ice cream sundaes and milkshakes to more creative concoctions like the Ferrero Rocher Milk Cake and the Biscoff Waffle Sundae. While the desserts are not the most refined in terms of taste, they are definitely satisfying and will satisfy your sweet tooth.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they can help you choose a drink to suit your taste.

Overall, Coffee & Cones is a great place to go for a casual dessert and coffee break. The friendly atmosphere, cozy setting, and convenient location make it a worthwhile addition to your Whitechapel itinerary. While the quality of the food and drinks might not be the highest in town, they are definitely satisfying and will leave you with a sweet smile on your face.

Here are some additional pros and cons to consider:

Pros:

Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

Cozy setting

Convenient location

Large selection of desserts

Knowledgeable baristas

Cons:

I’ve been a customer of this establishment since it was Mo Town (2010) and have seen many changes over the years. Unfortunately, today’s experience was by far the worst in terms of customer service. My 4-year-old accidentally dropped her ice cream, and while I was paying for my order, I kindly asked if I could get half a scoop to take away, explaining that I was more than happy to pay for it.

Initially, the cashier declined as I assume he thought I wanted a freebie, and after I further explained I will be paying for it, he instructed his colleague to go ahead. I made a casual comment, “Wow, it’s all about money these days,” and he abruptly turned and said, “Yeah, it is about money.” I was stunned by his rude response, especially as my child was already upset from the incident. This left a really bitter taste – not just because of the poor service, but also the lack of empathy. In a time when kindness and good communication are more important than ever, this was a huge letdown. It’s a shame that such a small business is so focused on greed over a £2 scoop of ice cream. With desserts that are average at best and such appalling customer service, I can see why the place was empty. Unfortunately, this experience makes me less inclined to support small businesses like this in the future. Very...

Firstly, I am very impressed with Coffee and Cones! I will definitely be returning without a doubt! An elegant Café with a relaxed, homely yet modern atmosphere which I loved. The branch is well decorated and has a majestic vibe surrounding it! I had the Carrot and Orange Cake with Chai Tea and it was delicious and very warming! The Carrot and Orange Cake (pictured below) was soft, light and flavorsome! It wasn't really dense nor was it so heavy that it'd make you sick after having it. It was smooth and there was a perfect balance between the Carrot and Orange. It felt very special. I could eat that for the rest of my life! It was one of the best slices of cake I have had in my whole life! The cake was a perfect size and was beautifully presented. The Chai Tea was packed with flavor and very refreshing. It smelt amazing and was delicious. This complimented the cake perfectly. Coffee and Cones will make a brilliant afternoon or Sunday treat. They are perfect for meetings, coffee dates and much more! For £5.50 for a Tea and Cake combo, it was an absolute bargain and the prices are really good. I will be returning to try many other things here and will definitely enjoy their Ice cream! Overall, I 100% recommend Coffee and Cones to you, you won't be...

Absolutely amazing dessert place at the heart of East London and practically opposite the iconic East London Mosque. Fantastic location, great homely decor with warm lighting and beautiful fragrance but more importantly the desserts and drinks were absolutely amazing with great choices and for the prices on offer for such luxurious ice creams on show, they were absolutely bang on. I had the Cinnamon Funk which included the devine apple crumble with chopped bananas on waffle and two scoops ice cream. I asked the friendly staff which were the best selling ice cream scoops and they recommended Brown Bread Ice Cream which I've never heard of before and the Honeycomb flavour as well and I absolutely understand why they were the popular choices! 😋 As for the drinks, I had the Red Bull Mojito and that was the best Mojito I've ever had which is a great combination of flavours that works extremely well and they also do a strawberry flavour version as well. I will definitely be coming here again with my family and there's big enough space downstairs for large families to attend during the quieter periods. Overall 10/10 for the coffees & dessert parlor experience with a warm homely feel that captures the mood absolutely correctly.

A wonderful accidental discovery in Whitechapel. The ice-cream is probably the best I’ve had anywhere. Amongst our group, we tried brown bread (yes, don’t be fooled by the name- it was delicious), apple crumble, salted caramel and honeycomb. Couldn’t decide which was my favourite! The strawberry sundae came in a beautiful glass and was also fantastic. The service was great and the place was spotlessly clean (including the toilet). We sat in the basement area and it was perfectly cool on a hot day. Would highly recommend the place if in the area. My photos don’t do it justice.
