I recently had the pleasure of trying the schiacciata sandwich at Dal Fiorentino in London and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The moment I took a bite of the warm, soft and fluffy bread, I was transported to Tuscany. The combination of the truffle honey, gorgonzola cheese, and succulent pancetta was simply divine.
The sandwich was generously filled with high-quality ingredients that complemented each other perfectly. The gorgonzola cheese added a creamy flavor while the pancetta added a salty, savory touch to the sandwich. The addition of the truffle honey not only added to the flavor, but also made the bread incredibly soft and moist.
The staff at Dal Fiorentino were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations on the best dishes to try. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a cozy, rustic feel that made me feel right at home.
Overall, I would highly recommend the schiacciata sandwich at Dal Fiorentino in London to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Italian dining experience. Whether you are a local or just visiting, this sandwich is sure to leave you feeling satisfied and full of flavor. I will definitely be...
Read moreSandwiches are ok. And schiacciata was nice. They take very long to take your order even though there are plenty of people working, maybe 15 minutes waiting. The tomatoes are not tasty. Like any other British tomato, not exactly good. These are unlike proper Italian tomatoes that are juicy and tasty. These ones had little to no taste. They give you the sandwich in a paperish bad that rippes apart as soon as they hand you the sandwich
Edit: The restaurant replied very rudely to my review. Rather than working with me in solving these issues, they got defensive. So I lowered the score from 3 stars to 1 star. I won’t be coming here again and I don’t recommend this place. If that’s how you treat people you can take your business somewhere else
Edit 2: they deleted their rude comment. However damage is already done and they never apologized, so I’ll keep the score to 1 star.
Edit 3: they added a new comment. Suggesting me to move to different country (see below). If you are reading this comment trust me. Don't come...
Read moreI had big expectation, but the food was stone cold and I really can't really believe the big number of perfect reviews. I had a large Ginevra schiacciata and everything was pretty bad. The schiacciata was probably the best thing but, even though it was crunchy, it was pretty cold, a real shame. Mozzarella was really bland and of a cheap quality (I really question that it was buffalo mozzarella) and really stone cold, out of a very cold refrigerator. Tomatoes were also crazy cold, almost frozen. And totally bland, probably the usual indoor grown type we get here in the UK, generally from Netherland. There was a bit of salt which gave a bit of flavour, but that was poorly clustered. The premises do not really look clean. The long cutting board they use to make the schiacciata is also not cleaned between customer services and you basically get some ingredients from the previous customers. Service is also a bit disorganised and slow, servers look a bit annoyed by...
