My friend and I were searching for the perfect last supper prior to my departure to Paris. My friend did most of the research, and I simply approved of the most cost effective yet delicious selection. We strolled over to the destination with suitcase in hand, ready for a satisfying meal; of course, that’s exactly what we received.
We were welcomed in to the restaurant by the staff and instantly noticed the orange tinted bamboo lamps that warmed the room.
Having basked in the orange glow, we were gracefully escorted to a two seated table by the window, the perfect set up for the delicious meal that awaited us. We ordered two servings of rice (one steamed, one coconut), a Thai red curry with plant based chicken and prawn tempura to share, and a wine for my friend. The wine arrived first. my friend sipped upon it gingerly; a delightfully unusual taste, considering the affordable price of £6.55. Without hesitation, the rest of the dishes started rolling in; the service was fast and efficient, and the food, hot. We dug in, ravenous and excited. The tempura prawns were piping and spiced, perfectly complimented by a velvety chilli mayonnaise. The Thai red curry was everything we wanted and more; a delectable aroma of warming spices and coconut. the vegan chicken was cooked to perfection.
The ladies who attended to us delivered the meals speedily with the expertise that one can only learn through sheer experience. They were attentive without being over the top or extravagant; a flaw many London restaurants unfortunately fall victim to. Indeed, their checking up on us was truly authentic.
Upon receiving the bill, the waitress generously gifted us two fortune cookies - the perfect sweet conclusion for our meal, given we had decided to pass on the dessert menu. We left and said our last good byes, and continued our journey onwards into the brisk London night. Our bellies were full, and our hearts warmed, by an unforgettably delicious...
Read moreI went to this restaurant with my friends today, during midday 1ishpm - the place itself was very empty. We asked the x2 women working if we could be seated at the sofa area as there was x5 of us and we wanted somewh ordered nice where we can all catch up but they refused and were like there’s only x2 of them on the floor and everyone needs to be seated where they can see which I found very odd and I don’t know why just went ahead with their stupid suggestion. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant which was pretty annoying. My friend ordered Thai green chicken which I heard myself but the confused waitress came back pad Thai which none of us ordered. And then finally when my friend food came it had prawns instead of chicken I was so annoyed I told my friend please let them know right away, she let the waitress know right away and I was shocked that they never took this off the bill because they messed up and gave the wrong dish and they never bothered giving the right dish. The food was okay. We stayed in the restaurant for a good 3 hours or so and I felt like they were tryna rush us out when they came over asking if we were ready to pay, bearing in mind this restaurant was empty as duck. I wasn’t happy paying for service charge I’m sorry but I didn’t like the service and from the get go when we were refused the sofa seats I was just getting bad energy from them. I can confirm I will never return back to this restaurant. 0...
Read moreWorst, rudest service ever experienced after they got order wrong !! ordered a green curry along with some dim sum and satay chicken. received order and it was CLEARLY wrong. instead of a green curry which comes with aubergine, mixed peppers and bamboo shoots, i received a yellow curry full of butternut squash (see photo). When i rang the restaurant i spoke with a very rude woman who said i was wrong and that i did receive the correct order. when i politely explained that this was not the case and i definitely received a yellow curry she said that the chef was entitled to change the ingredients and put whatever ingredients he liked (erm this is worrying considering allergies etc ) and she said we are closed and slammed the phone down on me. I was absolutely shocked! Unfortunately i don't like butternut squash or yellow curry so couldn't eat this. On top of this, the other ingredients were really poor and not like the previous time i ordered from them (did they change management recently or something? as the food was a completely diffferent standard) also i noticed the meat in the curry was not proper chicken breast or thigh and was more of a pre cut (cold cut) processed chicken (like the type you would find in a cheap pre made sandwich) Never ordering from this awful...
