Let me start out by saying I dislike giving negative reviews, but for the money & general displeasure, something has to be said. The staff were very nice & friendly, but they were like a team who had great school spirit, but couldn't win a game.
Smoking is allowed directly next to non-smoking. There is a sliding window & it was open with all cigarette smoke coming inside.
I went twice. The second time was convenience and to give it another go. I waited 9 minutes & 30 seconds for my bill & then, I asked if it was free. Prior to that, I waited to get someone's attention.
The highlight of what I ate was the chicken nachos. From there, the food presentation & quality (for Mexican food) was not good. See the pics.
The No. 5 is served with cold chips & cold refried beans. I get that all dips (hummus, guacamole & beans may be served cold as part of this dish). The chips tasted like someone open up a bag and dumped out. Crisp yes.
The chimichanga & enchilada were served in unattractive cafeteria style, with an ice berg lettuce salad , lump of sour cream and clump of rice. I asked for refried beans on the 2nd visit & got black beans. I like both, but that's not what I asked for. The plate is far too big for the portions. Beans & rice are affordable. If a restaurant is going to skimp, then ditch the salad & sour cream & add beans & rice (like most Mexican restaurants would).
The table cloths are heavy duty & lay on customer legs like a quilt. I'm sure this is fantastic in cold weather for some, but left me feeling like I was in a truck stop. I didn't like the feeling, especially when warmer & stick my legs.
Price ratio to experience: not a good exchange. Over £30-35 for meal.
I would recommend that persons seriously consider their choice of eating here. If you do go, I recommend being very explicit with what you want. Under current circumstances, you will have to be proactive to be...

The Good(s): Atmosphere is quite Mexican theme, nice and had various art on the wall with good music. They have these Mexican hats which creates quirky fun for the diners. Food were all decent portions - nachos were great, so was the prawns we had and BBQ ribs and wings. The food was all edible - everything was nice but not really a wow factor that makes me think, I want to come back here again. The Bad(s): We wanted to get Starters sharer platter of 4 and they had beef as part of it but our family do not eat beef. We asked if we could exchange to another meat but the chef didn't allow, not even we offered to pay extra. And due to limitations, its either this platter or vegetarian platter. The staff were friendly but I think they could be students. So a staff brought our mains and repeated the order, for example Chimichanga Beef. we reminded we didn't order any beef and he looked confused. The right food was served but he announced it as beef. Based on my previous experiences, Fajita bread comes in an enclosed container so that the bread retains the heat and the dish normally comes out on a sizzling hot plate - the drama is on the sizzle dish. But it was neither, no sizzling and the fajita bread came by the side. Last but least, all food served (except breaded mushroom) was luke warm. It wasnt hot - its almost like its been sitting in kitchen for a while before it was served. For the reasons above, its a 3 star review. The experience was decent, not great and for that reason I don't think we will be...
Read more08/03/19 Cons : We were taken to the basement and couldn’t see the food as it was quite dark :( Average price per person £25-£30 ( £7-8 starter , £14-£18 main, £2.50 soft drink . They serve halal food as staff have told us they have a certificate But they also serve alcohol and pork soooo .. Everything kinda taste the same , just made in different shapes and sizes ? Wait time for food it quite long .
Pros: Staff were polite and helpful :) Parking is right outside the store Food is filling Nice decor, mexican theme They have mexican hats that you can wear
I personally would not be returning here nor do i recommend it . We had to wait quite long for the food to arrive and we ordered starters and mains separately so we had to wait maybe 45 mins in total which is quite long . Starters were mini versions of the mains , everything tasted the same . We were a group of 4 and ordered 4 starters , 4 mains , 3 drinks and a side . No steak or expensive drinks , just normal staple Mexican food ( burrito , enchilada, taco ect ) almost £100 😯! And we were being moderate? I can imagine if you had a starter , steak and a drink other then cola you will easily pay £40-£50 PP. This place is expensive and to be honest the food isn’t all that . I would avoid and go to elsewhere were you pay 1/3 our bill and get better food . Don’t believe ? Give it a go and try it yourself .disappointed as i was looking forward to this place ( read the reviews) Not to mention what happened to us after in the toilets...
