The location is very good as it is about a 5 minute walk from Victoria Station and about 15 minutes to Buckingham Palace. The rooms are very small. We spent one night in room 8 which had 2 twin beds. We had 2 carry on suitcases and one checked bag. There isn’t room to open a suitcase except for on top of a bed. There are a few hangers to hang clothes. We moved after the first night because we were unable to sleep due to loud snoring in room 9 (no fault of the hotel and they were very accommodating). We moved to room 3 which is the only room on the main floor. It was much quieter. It was slightly larger because the facilities straddle the entrance way with a toilet and sink on one side, and the shower and another sink on the other side. There are therefore 3 doors opening into a very small space and then another door opening into the room. Other than that the room was almost identical, but we did have space in front of one bed to put the checked bag and a narrow space between that same bed and the window. As it was late September the room temperature was fine, in fact we asked for heat to be put on, but I could see it being quite warm in the summer.|Breakfast is included which was a nice bonus. They have a very nice coffee machine which has the options of espresso, latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate or hot water. Two slices of white toast appear as you sit at a table, there was yogurt and a few cereal options, jams, orange and apple juice, and tea bags. My wife doesn’t consume caffeine so the juice or water were her only options. Each room has a kettle on a small shelf on the wall with cups and tea bags.|The hotel is quite dated and could really use some upgrades, particularly carpeting, but it was very clean and the staff were very helpful.|If you are looking for decent budget accommodations, this will...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel in early July 2025 for four nights. I'll try and give an honest review of the pros and cons of staying at this hotel.||Pros- Economical for London (we ended up paying about $200 a night- I think you can get it cheaper on hotel deal sites). Relatively close to Victoria Station. Decent beds. Good shower.||Cons- We were given a room on the second floor- they don't have an elevator so it was a royal pain hauling 50 pound luggage up the narrow staircase. It was 90 degrees the days we were in London and the hotel DOES NOT have air conditioning (our room did have a fan) so it was sweltering at times in the room and difficult to sleep. The room was for three people but it was so small that with our luggage it was incredibly difficult to maneuver around the room- too small. They only provide hand soap- no shampoo- we had to go buy shampoo. They empty garbage every day but they DO NOT make your beds, etc. during your stay. The breakfast was free but extremely limited to three types of cereal and white toast (yes- that's it). THE MOST DISTURBING PART OF THE STAY, however was when the front desk asked if I wanted to pay in Pounds or Dollars. I said dollars- (big mistake). DON'T PAY IN DOLLARS because they adjust the exchange rate from 1.33 to 1.54, which means that they pocket an extra $21 dollars for every 100 pounds you spend- so for our 4 nights which were roughly 600 pounds, the stay would have cost us an extra $120 compared to if we had paid in pounds- and they'd pocket that extra $120 dollars. I think this issooooooo SHADY. Luckily, we caught it after paying the first night and told them to charge the rest in pounds, not dollars. This type of activity just casts a whole shady aura over the hotel and our entire...

Then they moved us to another room, a few minutes later we had the same problem!!. The manager an inept!!!!, we asked what was his responsibility in the hotel because the only thing he said was : I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
