*Last final update: I’ve gotten food poisoning from this place twice now — three months apart. That’s not bad luck, that’s negligence. Whatever’s going on with your hygiene or food handling, it’s clearly not being addressed. You’ve lost me as a customer for good.
And let’s talk about the smash burgers. Who signed off on this mess? Drenched in some weird pickle-juice sauce, the bun is completely soggy before you even get a bite in. The whole thing falls apart — it’s disgusting. What’s the point of selling smash burgers if you’re going to ruin it with a sludge of sad pickle disaster sauce, plastic-tasting cheese and resulting in wilted salad?
It’s honestly insulting. An animal died for this? Just to end up in a sloppy burger buried with some sludge that looks like it should be in the bin.
I'm a really patient person, but you've lost me completely.
**Older reviews over the last 2 years:
(Previous review: This place can be good when the food is fresh and cooked properly. I was a regular customer through ubereats, but I've been disappointed more times than i've been pleased. The consistency of quality is just bad. It actual baffled me how I could recieve both burger meals once with both burgers containing raw chicken. I did really like the food here and its a shame that this experience had occurred. Although the food can be really good, due to the uncertainty on consistency I won't be ordering from here for a while. I hope something can be sorted to ensure consistency is taken seriously.
Older update: seems like it's consistent with quality now, I've ordered quite a few times and it has been impeccable. Definitely a business I will continue...

ordering in advance? Get ready for an additional wait. 'Smaller' orders seem to be prioritised. Whereas if you paid for a 'big' order, there's always an apology/excuse.
You'll end up just standing and waiting for 20+ mins later after you ordered online and came to pick up at their recommended pick up time - and still wait equally as long, just as a walk in.
Quality of food has reduced. Lamb chops used to be just that. Nothing of the size any more. Can't even call them a chop.
Specify a drink on the menu? More than likely they don't have it. (I asked for 3 and they had 'non' of them).
Chips used to be amazing. 'Triple crunch'.
Now advertised as 'double crunch'.
See my picture of 'soggy mess'.
Ordered 20 wings. Got 16. Because who in a party of people will miss 4?
It seems preferred reviews are placed up top - scroll down if you are expecting this place to be what it used to be like. A lot of locals are having the same complaints.
FYI - my photo wasn't uploaded, even though I tried...
Read moreWent in there for a small bit of food. 3 Wings and chips are £2.20 but regular chips by themselves are £1.80. So 3 wings = 40p? Silly pricing IMO but no worries.
Asked for 3 wings and chips and the cashier said “twice?” As I was with my girlfriend. No bro we just want one, If it was two I would have said so. Again, this is minor so no problem, it is a logical assumption to make.
So they place TWO wings in a small box and then cover it with chips. I’m from south east London. We grew up on chicken and chips, you can’t finesse me bro don’t do that. I take the box and pretend to make for the exit. I stop and open the box and sure enough it’s two wings. I head back to the till and tell the guy “you put two wings in here”. His response was a nervous smile and a “oh yes my bad sorry about that you ordered 3 wings”. That neek knew what he was on, from the jump. Absolute jokeman, hold this review.
They are literally the only decent looking chicken shop on that street so that’s why they’re excited. I’d say travel a bit further to get more bang for your buck and better...
