Mille Patisserie (Canary wharf) — Restaurant in London

I had the yolk pastry with red bean and omg it was delicious — the pastry was super flaky, the red bean filling was just the right level of sweet, and then you get this surprise of chicken floss inside. Sounds a bit different but it actually worked so well — gave it this really moreish, slightly savoury twist that made it even better.

I also tried the Hojicha & Chestnut with Vanilla Panna Cotta Shortcake and it was unreal — the hojicha flavour was so toasty and rich, and it paired perfectly with the creamy panna cotta and the sweetness of the chestnut. Every bite was just so well balanced.

The collection location is within Poplar Business Park. It’s easy to miss — you can sometimes enter directly in front of the building or you might need to go through one of the side gates. It’s in the second set of buildings on the left side of the business park. The unit doesn’t have a big shop sign, but it’s easy enough to spot — the shutters are half open, there’s an Uber Eats sticker on the shutter, and a little notice above the bell telling you to ring and have your order number ready.

Staff are very helpful and the pastries are so good! Love the taro, mochi and pork floss xiaobei. Very hard to find though, you can only get into the industrial estate through a side door and there’s no sign for the shop, just a deliveroo sticker to indicate food is being...
