I am writing to express a concern regarding a recent purchase I made from your café. Last night, I bought two slices of your chocolate cake, which I was really looking forward to enjoying. I’ve always appreciated the atmosphere and quality of your café, and this is why I was quite surprised by what happened afterward.
Shortly after eating the cake, I began experiencing significant stomach discomfort and digestive upset, which unfortunately lasted for several hours and disrupted my night. I have not eaten anything else unusual yesterday and feel quite certain that the issue was caused by the cake I purchased from your café.
It leads me to believe that the cake may not have been entirely fresh or possibly mishandled during storage. While I understand that in the food industry occasional issues may arise, I feel it is important to bring this to your attention. Food safety is an extremely serious matter, not only for customer well-being but also for the reputation and trust of your business.
I kindly request that you look into the batch of chocolate cake that was sold on the evening of [20.05.2025], particularly to check if there might have been any lapse in freshness or storage conditions. If there was an issue, I believe it would be responsible to take measures to ensure that other customers do not experience the same problem.
I am not writing this letter to demand compensation, but rather out of concern—for my own health, and for the safety of others who may have consumed the same dessert. I hope that you take this matter seriously and investigate appropriately. If you are able to provide me with any information or clarification, I would very much appreciate it.
Thank you for your attention and understanding. I do hope this was an isolated incident, as I have always considered your café a reliable and enjoyable place to visit. I look forward to hearing back...
Read moreI will start from the very beginning.
Upon arrival, a man seated me and i was told to scan for the menu and he was nice and friendly. +one star - i was on my work break so i decided to stop by for a quick sweet snack or two. so i order sweet potato fries and a slice of cheesecake.
Firstly, i received tap water with food on it. not sure what but it made me not want to even drink it. next, my sweet potato fries took a little over 15 minutes to come - they were about a handful and COLD! you really can’t go wrong with some potato fries but somehow they did. they barely had warmth to them. which was disappointing but i brushed it off cause they tasted good.
next and then worst part. the cheesecake… flavours were gorgeous but the waiter (who was actually the ‘friendly guy’ who seated me), wasn’t even looking at me when he placed the food down, so i was saying thank you to nobody essentially and it was a bit embarrassing on my end. then when i was ready to eat, the state of the cheesecake shocked me. for a restaurant who broadcasts about being ‘instagrammable’, what was left on my plate surely must’ve been a joke right ? i was actually laughing. not a thought in the world was put into AT LEAST placing it in the centre of the plate. terrible
As for customer service, i was ignored and had to call waiters over 90% of the time (10% was only when i arrived, they seated me and came to me). in the end i just wanted to leave so i had to call over what may have been a manager? she was just flirting with the men working there most of the time. i seriously should’ve taken off that service charge. a massive rip off. my followers have been informed about this place and they all have had similar situations. do better. we won’t...
Read moreMe and my partner went here (Trafford centre Manchester). The waiting time was horrific. It took 15 minutes for them to clear and clean just one table and it was like that continuously. There seemed to be one man in a pink apron who waltzed around not doing anything oblivious to the 6 people (including small children) waiting to be seated. This was largely due to the fact that pink apron guy wasn’t clearing the messy tables (which should take 2 min max per table). When we were seated it took more than 15 minutes until my partner got up to ask for someone to take our order. I could see our order being made and left for over 10 minutes on the counter while the man behind the counter repeatedly asked the dope in the pink apron three times to take our order out. I ordered a frappe which had melted down the glass with melted ice by the time I got it and the cappuccino my partner had was cold. I had to listen to him grumpily complain and he was right. My drink was delicious but the atrocious staffing of the cafe and wait times would make me stay away.
ETA: when the guy in the pink apron came and served our drinks I asked him “why the long wait?” And got ignored, my partner really blames this dude because he was so obnoxious and didn’t seem to care about anyone’s order or time. The cashier was nice and polite when my partner went up to ask about ordering though. I recommend walking to Starbucks which is way cheaper, the caramel frappe there is just as good and by the time you walk to there, you’d probably still be queuing...
