PARK LANE CLUB FORCED TO CLOSE DOWN

The Commission has revoked the operating licence of Silverbond Enterprises Ltd which runs Park Lane Casino.

The decision was made because there was a change in corporate control at the operator and the Commission is not satisfied that it would have granted the operating licence to the Licensee had the new controller been a controller of the company when the application for the operating licence was made.

Helen Venn, Commission Executive Director, said: “We regulate gambling in the public interest and to maintain public confidence in the industry. In doing this we must be provided with information about those who run or have significant interest in gambling businesses.

“We revoked this licence because we are not satisfied as to the source of funds (SOF) used to acquire and support the Licensee at the time of the change of corporate control or to whom future profits of the Licensee would be paid. We also identified concerns with the suitability of the new controller because of its unsatisfactory history in providing information requested as part of our enquiries.”

Subject to appeal the revocation takes effect on 18 November 2020.

We dined at the Park Lane Club Metropolitan today and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The welcome was very pleasant, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the view was breathtaking.

Our waitress, Monica, was truly fantastic. She was always ready to meet our needs, making us feel pampered throughout our visit. We ordered a variety of dishes, and she remembered all our orders with their different timings perfectly. Truly exceptional service.

The menu was also exceptional, offering a rich selection of stellar dishes, each more delicious than the last. The meat was some of the best I've ever had—so tender it could be cut with a spoon. The cuisine is truly high-level, with incredible dishes, and the wine we chose was also very good.

The management was also incredible. Audrey gave us a tour of the beautiful casino, which had a welcoming atmosphere. She also showed us the terrace, a lovely spot where you can smoke.

The staff were smiling and very elegant.

Being a long-standing member of the Metropolitan Group, and Parklane Casino of for almost 4 decades, I recently visited the casino with my wife. Being a Sunny and clear day, on a Palm Sunday of the Easter holidays, we were just admiring the stunning views through its panoramic window, that overlooked the beautiful Hyde Park. The experience was made even better by the warm and friendly reception staff, Ms. Maria, who made us feel welcome right from the start. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional service provided by the well-trained staff, Ms. Adele (sharing the same first name as the famous Singer, Adele), who served the Famous English Tea to my wife and to me (while I was still gaming at the electronic roulette table).
