£6.25 for "Patatas Bravas" We could not believe it when it came to the table. Ridiculous size, frozen Patatas and industrial and dry Bravas sauce (around 4 drops) .... With Mayo? As a customer and as a Spaniard this is ridiculous. (The restaurant looked nice though) Never again.

At first this place seems like a hidden gem. Old school local wine bar with olde worlde features. However closer inspection reveals that the wines are overpriced, served a little too warm, decoration is superficial, and staff aren't entirely passionate or knowledgable about the wines. The wines by the glass and bin ends were rather uninspiring. Nice place. Just not as "great" as...

Great place to head to after work for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. The wine list is extensive with something for everyone both in terms of tastes and price range. The food is also delicious. I'd recommend over ordering as portions are modest but good value. Only gets 4 stars as the service is a little slap dash when you are busy.

Have been visiting El Vino frequently, however today will be the last time. The surly staff member who argued about me ordering a burger with cheese was the final straw. The burger took 45 minutes to arrive but when I said I ordered without cheese. It was returned in five minutes with the cheese removed instead of a fresh burger. Shoddy experience and...
