I'm really disappointed as I was looking forward to trying the food here the next time I was in London. There were two key things that contributed to this: Customer service and the food. The food was a let down as I don't know if the lunch time rush affected the standards, but my broccoli could not even be picked up by my fork and tasted raw. My harissa chicken was oily and wet to the point it started to seep through the bag even with a lid on. The grains were okay, but the sweet potato was the only thing I enjoyed.
The customer service was really poor. I was rushed along without a chance to say I wanted salmon additionally as a side. As I had the broccoli and potato heaped onto my tray I then managed to get a word in to a male member of staff already placing the lid on and idly asking me if I wanted anything else. When I replied yes and said Salmon as a side, he huffed at me, pushed the tray in front of me and said I should have asked for that at the start. When I looked at him shocked, he then added "for next time". The till staff were shouting for me to come to pay next, as the other staff member rolled his eyes and requested the salmon. When I explained to till staff that I was waiting on something, they left me alone which was fine.
The only member of staff to be helpful was a young Black lady with braids or dreads who was able to then see that my hands would be full to carry everything and offered me a bag.
Once again a let down, and hard to know if this is just this branch, or all...
Read moreI recently visited farmer j with a friend of mine. I had only been once before and had a great experience and customer service. They had talked me through it and explained how the plates work. The second time I went it was a bit busier than my previous visit but that was expected as it was lunch time. I was first served by a very rude lady who argued with me about how to make my plate and I explained this is how I had it last time and proceeded to push me along to the next sever without hearing me out. She had also given me the wrong type of chicken and gave my friend who asked for the salmon chicken aswell. The rest of the servers were okay but I felt like I was a burden because I asked what something was or asked any question. By the end of the whole Experince me and my friend felt like we had just gone through the war. Rushed out in less than 5 minutes, got yelled at, got given the wrong food. From my friends perspective as a first timer she said it was very overwhelming and felt like if you weren’t a regular and aware of the process you would be shamed for it or be treated as less. I myself am shocked by the vast difference between the two trips I’ve had here. I never complain as I work in hospitality and get it but farmer j staff need to realise not everyone is a regular and needs a little bit of extra time getting used to this type of service. Probably won’t go again, just to save myself...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing restaurant, and it was such a memorable experience. From the moment I walked in, I loved the cosy, rustic vibe—it felt like a welcoming escape from the busy city streets. The decor is simple but charming, with a clear focus on nature and sustainability, which really sets the tone for what’s on the menu.
The food was fantastic. I had their seasonal special, and you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. It was clear that everything was sourced locally and prepared with care. I’m usually pretty picky with salads, but theirs was bursting with flavour, and the balance of textures was spot on. What stood out most was how clean and wholesome everything tasted without being too heavy.
The staff made the experience even better. They were so friendly and genuinely excited about the food, which made me feel confident with their recommendations. Can't wait to go back again.
Thank...
