I visited the Liverpool Street branch on 8th September 2021 and it was the worse service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. When I arrived it was chaos and no clear indication of who was front of house to welcome guests. After a moment, I located the person who I assumed it was and as I tried to approach he rushed past me, without any sort of acknowledgement. I understand it was busy but he could have simply said he would be with me in a moment. When he returned he did not ask me for a booking but instead pointed to a nearby table where some other ladies were sitting, asking if I was with them- Iām not sure why he would assume this rather than ask if I had a booking in the first instance. Anyway, I say the reservation name and he did not refer to a list or anything- just grabbed 3 menus and sat me down at a random table which clearly was way bigger than my party. I was not happy with the table as it was close to a pillar and I felt claustrophobic so asked if we could move to a table at the back which he declined and reason was that this was a staff area and where they were storing cutlery. I did not think it was appropriate for restaurant to use their customers dining tables to store cutlery but maybe this is the norm here. We then moved to another table which was fine.
My friend has allergies to fruit and went to the bar to check this and was told that they could not confirm any traces in mixed drinks/ lemonade because things had been ātoo busyā today. For something as serious as allergies, this response is unacceptable.
After this, we were sat for 30 minutes with no server coming to welcome us or take our order. People arrived after us and their orders were taken, food was being delivered to other tables and we continued to be overlooked. People were coming in to order takeaway and they were receiving more attention than customers dining in. We ordered via the app- one of which failed and the other we asked to be cancelled and refunded as we decided we had enough.
This experience has really tarnished the reputation of the restaurant in my eyes. I had only been once to a different branch and it was great from food to the service which is why I wanted to return. I have even recommended this place to other people and I am now not sure I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited today with friends - had booked online. Arrived and waited at the front door for a few minutes before a server then asked if we were good, explained we had a booking but they said we could just sit anywhere!
Beautiful venue with flowers everywhere, very colourful!
Ordered from the QR code on the table, easy enough to do! Drinks came fairly quickly. After about 30 minutes, I had to question where our food was and servers brought it over after about 10 minutes more.
Ordered: Mezze platter for 2 (to share amongst 3) - decent portion for 3 people really, although obviously 2 pieces of falafel and 2 of the cheese samboussek. Extra falafel (4 pieces) - these were very dry and not particularly enjoyable. I had every mouthful with some houmous or the sauces that came with the dishes. Extra cheese samboussek (3 pieces) - these were probably the nicest things on the menu that we ordered, very tasty and not too rich. The sauce which accompanied it was also good! Batata Harra - pretty much just potatoes with some spices on them, good for mopping up the houmous. The mixed grill to share between 2 of us in the group - decent portion! The meat, whilst tasty, was also very dry. The other member of the group had the halloumi wrap platter which looked very nice!
I had the Comptoir Mojito Twist to drink and this was very disappointing, it did not taste nice at all!
Overall, whilst the food was quite tasty, the quality was not there and the service was slow - it seemed there was one person serving the entire inside. Do not think it was particularly worth the...

First off the bat, the branding and colours are amazing! Iām such a sucker for this lol. Service was a little busy but it was lunchtime, standard - food took about 20 minutes which was cool. They also do a Lebanese flavour dish of the month!
So! The mixed grill was okay, lamb kofta and chicken kofta was a little bland for me, but the chicken taouk was nice! This was served with salad and vermicelli rice! The chickens wings were decent and chargrilled marinated with garlic, lemon and servers with pomegranate molasses - its gluten free! The grilled halloumi was bland but okay + comes with sliced tomatoes, olives, and fresh mint and its gluten free! Sauces were decent but would have preferred some kind of chilli sauce for the meats.
Plenty of seating in/outside. The customer service and hospitality was good, so polite...
