⭐ Review 1: Casual Lunch Spot
“Tucked just off the main street, this joint is a real surprise. I popped in for a quick Saturday lunch—decided on the chicken wrap combo. The wrap was generously filled, moist and seasoned just right, with a nice tang from the garlic-yogurt sauce. Fries were crisp on the outside, fluffy inside—exactly what I want from fast food. The soda machine was clean and well-stocked, though the seating is basic—a couple of plastic tables and chairs, but they kept it tidy. Staff were friendly, took my order promptly, and had that familiar local chatter going. Price-wise, it was spot-on—less than £8 total. Would come again if I’m in the neighbourhood.”
Strengths: generous portions, friendly service, good value. Room to improve: more comfortable seating would be great.
⭐ Review 2: Late-Night Chicken Fix
“Stopped by around 10 pm on a weeknight craving fried chicken. The store was quiet and ambiance calm. I got the 6-piece nugget box with extra peri-peri dip. Nuggets were hot, juicy, and the spice had a nice background kick. Dip was creamy with just enough heat. Packaging was neat—box closed securely, no spill mess—good for takeaway. Counter staff were polite, even offered napkins and sauces. The total was £6.50 which felt fair for what I got. Only thing? The lighting inside felt a bit dim, like they need brighter bulbs. But overall, fast, tasty, and reliable.”
Highlights: reliable late-night service, well-packaged takeaway, polite staff. Could improve: interior lighting.
⭐ Review 3: Family Takeaway Experience
“Ordered a family meal—a mix of burgers, wings, and fries—for pickup at dinnertime. Placed via phone; they confirmed it in under a minute. When I arrived, the food was hot and neatly packed in discrete paper bags. Burgers were stacked, lettuce fresh, patties juicy. Wings were a standout—crunchy, flavoursome seasoning, not too oily. Fries held up nicely, no soggos. Portion sizes were generous—plenty for two adults and a kid. Pickup staff handed over with a smile even amidst the dinner rush. The total came to around £22 with a drink included—good value for family-sized portions. Solid, stress-free takeaway.”
Great for: ordering in, family meals. Room to improve: no dine-in improvement here, but takeaway is top-notch.
⭐ Review 4: Veggie-Friendly Wrap
“Went in for a vegetarian option (they have a plant-wrap) and was pleasantly surprised. The wrap packed with grilled veggies, falafel-style chickpeas, crisp lettuce, a tangy tahini sauce, and a splash of pickled peppers—bright colours, fresh crunch. It wasn’t soggy, and the fillings were flavourful. The staff were knowledgeable when I asked about the sauce ingredients—no hidden dairy. The seating area was a bit cramped, but I got a window seat. Total was £7.20. Perfect for a quick, meat-free lunch.”
Props: good vegetarian offering, attentive staff. Room to improve: expand seating space.
⭐ Review 5: Speed & Convenience Evaluation
“Needed something quick during a lunch break—this spot delivers. Ordered in-person—5 min wait even during peak rush at 1 pm. I chose their signature chicken sandwich combo. Sandwich was hot on arrival, bun slightly toasted, chicken tender and well-seasoned. Combo included small fries and a drink; fries were hot and salted just right. Staff efficiency was impressive, handled queues with seven customers in line calmly. Cleanliness was decent—tray bin in front was empty, tables wiped down between customers. For £8.50, this hit the mark.”
Highlights: super-fast service, clean environment, solid lunch combo. Could improve: occasional overcrowding...
Read moreSo, I was going about my general day when I decide that I am awfully hungry and chicken would be lovely right about now! Sometimes KFC is just too mainstream so it is nice to go to an independent chicken shop. I searched google for a bit and come across this chicken shop called 'Perfect Friend Chicken' I was thinking yaas. So I marched on over at lunch time to be greeted by a chic looking gaff which had tables and chairs in so i decided to eat in.. Approaching the shop front I realised you had to climb a mountain of a step to actually enter the building, with no sign on the door as a warning.. Upon observing the place at first glance I think to myself, oh this is nice, there was a TV in there with the news on as well as some other people eating what looked to be lovely food. So i approach the counter after being called and state that I would like number 6 as my meal, this being 6 chicken wings, fries and a drink. Well chuffed! I then gets asked would I like to eat in or take away, so I took the option of eating in.. Little to my surprise when it was ready, it turned up on a plate with a knife and fork, proper fancy! Now the best part, lets get to the food, the food is why we are here... The chips, good, standard, as expected, ketchup was free this is always a plus! The wings, oh my god, an embarrassment to the name of the chicken shop, as these wings were most certainly not 'Perfect'.. The spicy crispy coating was not crispy or even spicy. as well as the chicken being a little bit under-cooked, i would describe eating them as putting a rubber band ball in your mouth. So from a chicken shop who states their chicken is perfectly fried, this is a sham, I then left, and will not...
Read moreBad service - the server was rude and when asked for extra sauce in mini lots for take away, demanded 20p per pot. He was wearing a dirty apron. He was wiping the counter with a damp but what used to be a white cloth. Chips were already pre-made (look out for that) after they serve these chips to you that put in a fresh batch and take out to leave to never unsuspecting customer. Cleanliness of cutlery needs rethinking as there was still condiments and other substances from previous user... yuckkkkkk. Ask yourself this..... The chicken draw is always full to brim. Mmmmm either they made that fresh.... or if like me you make the mistake of going there more than once you'll realise that no one really buys the chicken in there apart from daft children. So the chicken is never fresh. You have so many other places nearby go else where. Also don't ever send your child there on their own. Saw a young child come in order dinner and chips. He left less than 30 seconds after ordering. Dumb kid doesn't know the difference. Gotta ask.... The meat has to be drawn off the kebab, then placed on hot plate, seasoned cooked etc.... wonder when that...
