I had spend 2 years at LCCA while my studies in London and I couldnât be happier. LCCA is a new group in London, and as consequence of that, the university has not many students what permit to the teachers have more conscience about the needs of each student. The building is very central and really near other universities as London College of Fashion or Central Saint Martins what permits to the LCCA students an easier socialization with the London creative âcrewâ. The LCCA teachers are also known internationally, in Fashion design I had as main teacher Claire Netter who is currently working for Gucci. Claire was a really exigent teacher what in my point of view is more than necessary in an industry where being good is not enough, and pushing boundaries is obligatory. My knowledge in fashion and Art History that nowadays allows me to work in art management wouldnât be possible without having Suzanne Netter as tutor , a previous curator at V&A and previous teacher at LCCA , conde naste and others fashion schools . As I mentioned Previously LCCA is a new university and has not many students, what also permitted me work closely with the marketing team especially with Jackson Netto that is always available for help students and listen their ideas and made that ideas and dreams become true. From articles to the school magazine to work as media on graduate fashion week and fashion week, the university always helped me to develop my projects and again pushed me as professional and person to be the best . Iâm sure that LCCA in the future will have a more known name, but in my opinion thatâs the best moment to apply for it, because then it will be with much more students, what it wonât permit to the university this kind of support to each student . To me study at LCCA was the best decision...
Read moreUnfortunately fell for this scam when I was 19, if you are thinking of applying: don't. I applied to this uni thinking it was a part of UCL (because LCCA said they were) I got in only for my course to be cancelled (no one informed me of this) spent 6 months in another course under the guise that it would be 'free education until my course would start next semester', the course never started. Ended up having to sue the school (thankfully with some success, I was able to get most of the tuition fee's back from the LCCA scam) and dropping out. 7/10 of my classmates did the same during our year.
On top of being a scam university they have subpar people posing as teachers. We had Evangelina Thomadakis 'teaching' us a course on 'fashion design'. She showed up to 'teach' a course maybe once a week in which we spent time discussing her plans to have children with a man she had just met. Only for her to ghost her teaching job for a month (classes were never listed as cancelled we showed up to the building to be told by other teachers to a)just find something to do and b)cover for the missing Evangelina Thomadakis.) She finally resurfaces and again instead of learning anything we spent 6 hours a week listening to a weeping 35 year old woman cry about having been duped by a heroine addict.
I'm not sure what LCCA is, my guess is a money laundering front but it is 100% not a university. Can't believe it still exists. waste of...
Read moreTerrible organisational problems. It took me two years after I graduated to get my certificate and haven't even gotten yet my personal work back or an update on what is actually happening. They don't have a proper students support team (Forget about anyone answering phone calls and emails) Admin is an absolute nonsense.
Most classes are very average, but sometimes you find teachers that actually believe LCCA is not just an opportunity to collect governmental money and teach you something. They tend to keep your personal work portfolio for years and sometimes they loose your garments/work because for them is insignificant and why bother labeling?
LCCA doesn't really care about students . All they want is tuition fee money to open a new random school, where apparently Hospitality and Fashion happen to be connected.
I am really disappointed with this institution and the poor treatment towards students. LCCA doesn't care about it's own reputation in the first place, why would they care about you as a student? All they want is tuition fee money and they will waste your time...
