Wouldnt say was the worst restaurant I've been to but was def nothing special - in terms of food and service. Live music was a bonus - not too loud so you cant hear your colleagues. If i could give the restaurant owner some advise :
I am not here to slate you, only giving you feedback on how to improve. The location is perfect and could be mega successful with a few minor improvements. For example the waiters coming to top up glasses with the beer bottles on the table is a nice touch, but tap water for example should be available and preferably on the tables already (how many people actually order bottled water nowadays anyways?). The food does need improving. If the owner wants inspiration or doesn't understand or accept the food is not mouth watering - go to Diyarbakir, Hala, Gokyuzu or Devran in Harringay and order something similar from their menus. If you can make the changes then you can bring up the price of your city menu to £18 easily by increasing the variety of main courses available. Maybe even cut down your menu and just have a few meat specialties, 2 fish dishes and a few veggie options. Sometimes less is more esp when the quality of the food is...

Their falafel was okay - a tad grainy for me - but their hummus was delicious especially with the provided bread. Also had a taste of their fried whitebait and spinach feta borek which were both pretty nice too. For mains I shared their grill platter which came with lamb shish, lamb cutlets, Adana kebabs, chicken shish and chicken wings atop rice and flatbreads. This was £29.50 pp and I believe was great value. Every single meat was absolutely delicious. Particularly, the kebab and two lamb cuts were just sublime. Even their wings, which I initially thought was odd to include, were succulent and just fell off the bone. This came with a lot of food too. Another group of 5 at our table ordered this and could not finish it but they kindly let us take the rest home. Definitely one to order and maybe share amongst more people than you would think. For desserts I had their Kazandibi milk pudding and chocolate pyramids. These were pretty good - not too sweet either. Also had some of their Turkish coffee which was delightful. Overall, great mains with superb meats and pretty good starters and desserts too....
Read moreIt was one of the only restaurants open on Saturday that had a good rating. I would’ve never gone for Turkish before but there was nothing else to try. I would certainly go for Turkish again. The free dip at the start was incredible with the bread. I’ve never tasted anything like it. For some reason I ordered a main (haloumi kebab) and a side salad (feta). I thought quantities would be small in a fancy central London restaurant but the opposite was true. My friend had moussaka and really enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive (I guess we were the only ones there at first). I also enjoyed the music. I guess I could give one small negative: I’m not a huge fan of parsley and there was a bit much on the feta salad - I suppose most people love it though. I hope to return again if I’m...
