Frizzante — Restaurant in London

Came with a friend as this place was highly recommended, let me save you the hassle now AVOID this place at all costs if your used to normal customer Serivce.

Went to order breakfast and a coffee, the lady who prepared the coffee came and brought them over to the table.

There was no sugar or sweetener offered nor on the table, I asked for sweetener, she replied in such a rude manner “we only have sugar” “do you want sugar”

I told her I only take sweetener, she looked at me in pure disgust and then walked away like I had insulted her family or something.

As she got back to her area where she prepares the drinks she raised her hands against her head and screamed in anger, then she stormed out of the restaurant.

Every time she kept walking past our table to serve other customers she would look over and roll her eyes, it was a very intimidating experience, my friend and I were really uncomfortable.

Then after we had eaten we asked the waitress if we could speak to the manager, she said that the lady in question who we had this appalling service from was the MANAGER, I was shocked.

The waitress said that there is someone else that we can speak to and that she would call them over.

The lady in question came over and all of a sudden she started being nice, she said: “hi I heard that you wanted to speak to the manager is everything ok?”

I told her that I wanted to speak to someone about her attitude and unprofessional behaviour, she replied by saying “ I don’t no what your talking about I was never rude at all”

I reminded her and then she snapped and went psycho and was raising her voice and shouting, I thought she was going to assault me if I’m honest, my friend was really scared.

She said that she doesn’t care and just walked off, she returned back to her work station and started screaming again and slamming drawers

We just walked out.

The lady was wearing a cap, slim, muscly and had tattoos on her arms, she looked Italian.

Avoid this place at all costs for your safety but also if you don’t want to have your meal...

Absolutely awful. We found out after eating the only vegan option on the menu contained fish.

The manager was rude and smirking and shrugging while we complained, refusing to accept responsibility and just blamed the chef - while at the same time telling us it was in the pre-prepared sauce. He wouldn’t even say sorry, just kept saying it’s not their problem despite mentioning it had happened before with another customer.

I had asked him twice before we ate the food if it was vegan and trusting him ate the entire thing.

One of the other members of our group found what looked like a bone after I had finished and we asked to check with the chef, to be told that it had anchovy in.

It was clearly listed as vegan and the ingredients did not match the menu description.

After finding out one of our group was sick in the toilet and left in tears, I felt sick for the rest of the night as this is the first time I have eaten fish in 32 years - since I was 5 years old.

The manager did not care at all, after initially complaining it took him about 20 minutes to come and speak to us despite the place being completely empty. He just started collecting glasses - I had to ask him if he was actually the manager and find out what was happening. He just said he would remove the anchovy dishes from the bill but insistent we pay for everything else in full. It took everyone in our group arguing with him to get 50% discount on the food but we had to pay full price for the wine.

That is not really enough considering it ruined our celebration and due to a complete lack of care and knowledge to what they are putting in the food.

Never going here again and that manager should not be working in the hospitality industry.

Waitress...

Tasty Italian food and live music let down by terrible service - despite the restaurant being nearly empty!

Food at Frizzante was great. Very generous portions, especially for the mains.

Too bad the service was awful, from start to finish. Incompetent, slow and belligerent bordering on rude.

As we were walking into the restaurant, we saw a huge rat run across the outdoor seating area. This was a forecast of things to come.

First, ordered starters and mains, which came at the same time. Why?! Then, after the food was on the table, the waiter started setting the table.

One of the starters was wrong - the waiter took it just for the manager to bring it back to ask us again if it was wrong. What was the need?

After the starter and mains arrived, the waiter asked what drinks we wanted. This should be done BEFORE the food is ordered.

We said what we wanted, and then he came back 20 mins later to check what drinks we ordered… We told the waiter again and the drinks STILL never arrived.

I went up to pay the bill as I was fed up now. I told the manager to take the drinks off the bill since we waited so long…He had no idea I had even ordered these!! He said he could get these drinks for me if I wanted them… After I said explicitly I didn’t want them anymore?!

Please explain to me why is it so disorganised? The restaurant was almost completely empty.

I would be more accepting of this sort of service at somewhere like McDonald’s… I’ve paid around £70 for this.

The manager did not make any sort of effort towards customer...
