Came here for a late lunch of coffee and many a snack. Had a long look at the menu and was surprised to see Saag Paneer on the menu and just felt like I had to try it in a coffee place instead of the usual Indian restaurant.
The saag paneer came with 2 slices of toasted bread rather than the expected rice or naan or paratha (I did't ask up front). Regardless, I thought it was the dish was really nice, not too spicy which made it easier to really taste the spinach and cheese in the dish. Slightly creamed, but not too heavy so that I didn't feel bloated after eating the dish. Overall, very yummy and in my humble opinion, comparable to anything you'd find in a good Indian restaurant, especially if you prefer your Indian food to be milder.
There's a mixture of seating inside. Breakfast table and stools, standard tables and super comfortable couches to sit on next to coffee tables. The atmosphere is really relax and chilled out. The coffee is excellent, the service friendly and would definitely visit again this trendy little cafe in slightly untrendy...
Read moreAsian lady is rude to customers and does not look like she can smile . I drank and ate here and got food poisoned, I tried the salmon bagel and the tuna baguette. Both equally disgusting and sickening as if they bought outdated ingredients. The coffee leaves an unpleasant taste in the mouth. I like my coffee but this taste like the machine wasnât cleaned ever!! Old nasty bald head man that runs the place, makes me not want to sit in or ever come back again the freak. Makes racist jokes and arenât funny. Employees donât stop complaining about how horrible management is and they donât look happy. I Donât recommend the Bethnal Green stores. Theyâre run horribly. The stairs going down to the toilet are very steep and are full of splinters and un done nails. Overall 5/10 unless that Asian...

Wireless internet works okay, but hourly renewal codes are annoying to use and I have issues with using a VPN (no problem with the principle of spending some money every hour or so though).
Worst point for me is stool seating by windows (ideal for laptop use), which is a good idea in principle, but are very uncomfortable after short period because of the poor design of the stools (sharp corners and edges!). Seems a shame to be let down by something so basic...
Would increase my rating to 4 if seating was improved, 5 for unmetered internet access and...
