My friends and I had chosen this place and had gone there many times for our meetings. Nearby, there is an office of one of the local TV stations, and every week before recording our program, we used to buy some coffee, muffins, and cakes from this place.

On Friday, October 24, as usual, we had a recording session and went there to order some coffee and muffins. However, the person who served us put a few muffins in a paper bag and placed them on the counter in a very insulting manner. When we politely asked for a bag, he handed it to us in a very disrespectful way.

When I calmly told him that this is not the right way to treat a customer, he aggressively moved toward me, but his own colleagues intervened and stopped him. The incident is certainly captured on their CCTV, and you can watch it.

Unfortunately, it seems that the management of this company has never provided any proper training to their staff, which is why this person behaved in such a manner. I have already informed all my friends who used to buy coffee from there to boycott this place, so that the management understands that it is we, the customers, who keep their business alive. The irresponsible behavior of this individual was primarily the result of poor management by the company, which has clearly failed to train its employees in customer service and professionalism, focusing only on basic technical skills. That day, because of the employee’s insulting attitude, our recording session was unfortunately delayed.

I intend to prepare a short program to expose such coffee shops that take no responsibility toward their customers and to examine the psychological effects of such behavior. A coffee shop should be a place of calm, focus, and relaxation — not a space where customers face aggression or disrespect from staff.

Of course, I do not personally blame the employee; the real fault lies with the company’s management, which has neglected to provide proper training and guidance...

I encountered the worst treatment I have ever experienced in my life. There is a barista who makes the coffees in Golders Green branch. When she could not make the coffee I had been drinking every day for many years, she started to attack me verbally: And whenever I go to this shop, she deliberately ignores my orders, but makes the coffee of those who come after me. And she behaves even worse shamelessly talks about me to her co-workers. She's trying to disturb me by doing this. (I don't even know her and I'm so surprised because of she is obsessed with the customer instead of doing her job This is never acceptable or normal behavior. And not professional at all !! ) I have never seen anyone in my life who goes over her limits and treats customers badly, insults them, and disrespects them. Do not go to this shop to avoid being subjected to such a bad behaviour.

Unfortunately, her bad behavior shocked me. That's why I want Gail’s management to see this message. Because this is never...

Very disappointed with my experiences at Gail’s. Poor management of the branch, tables are left unclean and drinks are not made to a good standard. I have attached an image of a soy latte made for me. When drinking it, chunks of curdled milk were coming up, so my boyfriend asked if they could make one without the curdling. The staff proceeded to inform him that this is normal. I went down and asked to buy another drink, where I was also argued with that it is supposed to be like that. Serving a drink like this to a customer at the prices they charge is unacceptable. Ultimately they did remake it after a lot of effort and explaining that I don’t like drinking chunks in my lattes but the service really is terrible!

We also asked a staff member if they could please clean our table, she didn’t even acknowledge us or come and help. I had to go and ask for tissue to clean it myself before they sent anyone.

Overall there are cafes in the area with much better service, drinks and...

I visit Gail’s very often and in many ways love this place and keep going back. It’s convenient for anyone working in Golders Green for a coffee, snack or lunch, and some of the food (eg the salads and cakes) is excellent. Also, the ex-bank building is striking. However, there are some problems with this Gail’s branch: hopefully teething problems as it’s not been around this long. First, at busy times the service can be abrupt and even on the verge of rude. Perhaps they need more staff? Not sure what the issue is. Second, the seating options are not that comfortable - eg very limited armchairs - and tables take ages to be cleaned. Finally, the prices are high I think for what is offered. All in all, this local cafe is still a very good option and worth visiting (even regularly), but could be improved. (** I include photos from a number of visits so you can get an idea of some of the nice things on offer **)

Very nice cafe, has upper level with tables, so there is a lot of space. They serve babycino. There are toilets upstairs and downstairs which is much better than at Starbucks across the road where sometimes it's closed for regular customers. The only downside is that there are two steps at the entrance, so might not be that easy to get in with a stroller or a suitcase. I was able to enter backwards with a stroller.
