I popped into Gail’s in Willesden Green today, I just fancied a coffee and cake and to watch the world go by for a moment. So of course I’m writing a review, why not? When I write my reviews I always consider the service, the staff work hard and the stress of dealing with so many different personalities must be hard. Anyway let’s get on with the review. This Gail’s is literally one minute from Willesden Green station or 266, 260 bus stop also a minute away. Parkings a real problem so if you drive expect to park a little walk away. Lovely staff with welcoming smiles not all but enough. The place itself is quite spacious and had a kitchen area at the back, there are two seating areas, one at the front and more space near the kitchen area, I didn’t check if everything is baked onsite but I would imagine that some things that are the same in every Gail’s is delivered. The service at the counter was quick and polite. The food was as always, consistent, I had a butter croissant and a apple cake. They don’t sell the normal drinks you would expect and that was a let down I feel as if they are trying to force me to drink what they decide is good for me. So this is not going to be a rave review as it’s pretty much the same wherever you go. But one thing that bugged me today was a lady was buying bread and she grabbed two different loaves with her hand, squeezed them and put them back before choosing one, that really put me off, thank goodness my food was away from the public. It’s not a cheap place so it’s never a regular visit. All in all it’s an ok place if you want to over the odds for a snack. The place was constantly busy so my review is not necessarily the popular view.

We popped in here the other day after attending a funeral. We got 2 cappuccinos, a cheese and ham croissant and a little chicken turnover pastry thing. All in all it was.... Ummm . ok. Tasty food, although cold, the coffees were luke warm??. Plus was rather shocked they could not heat the food for us. Who wants to eat this type of food cold? Or maybe it's just us?.. And when asking if it could be warned were greeted with a rather rude no. It's majorly overpriced for what it is, the food they deserve, i.e cold and no table service either.. £18 for the above??.. 🤨 Inside is ok, nice floors. Staff were ok, not the friendliest at all, unless they knew you then they were full of smiles and bending over backwards. Parking is difficult. First time here, and definitely wouldn't go back..😐 Better places that are cheaper... Much cheaper....

Living just around the corner, this used to be one of my favourite places for a sandwich and a coffee. The coffee is still excellent as are the staff. The food quality has massively dropped in the past few months. I ordered a Parmesan chicken sandwich today, which came with a single slice of tomato, a single slice of gherkin and only enough chicken to cover half of the brioche bun (though was clearly positioned to once side in order to make it look full!) I don’t think I’ll be ordering this again!

Loved going to Gail's to get my cookies šŸŖ šŸ˜‹. I would spend over Ā£10 on these cookies šŸŖ each visit. Today I went as usual to get my cookies, one of the servers šŸ™ƒ a woman with facial hair, bit of weight her also no shade šŸ™ƒ but just Describing her. Saw me waiting to be served, she just looked at me continues chatting away with customers sat at the back So I wait patiently 😌 . She doesn't come until a while girl comes after me to buy bread. She starts to serve her, I as sorry I've been waiting to be served, the woman told me she was in front. I didn't understand šŸ˜• as she saw me waiting whilst she was chatting with customers. She refused to serve me even tho the young woman agreed i was before her. She served the young white woman, oh yeah by the way I'm a black middle aged woman. As I was waiting once again to be served a white man came in. Stood in front me ,the server than came to me to serve me , I was being funny at this point as she came to serve me. I asked her how come she sees me now as the man is in front of me, I told her to continue as she started with the young woman. Whilst waiting i notice a big bluebottle fly landed on the cookies šŸŖ I love. So letting people know that Gail's needs to have a glass sneeze glass over the bakery this as they are all out with zero protection. After been treated as if I was invisible, than seeing that fly I just left. So if you are a black person šŸ¤” that woman with the facial hair, with weight she doesn't like people with colour After today is realised this. Just thought I'd share my experience as gone right off Gail's because of my experience today at Willesden...

I would give 5 starts to Gail's because is my absolute favourite place to have a coffee every single day, buuut the service is not the best and I find it bad that goes down and down. 1.The manager/supervisor* that doesn't really bother with the costumer service. I could give some names as I already got to know all the staff but that would be kind of rude. There are absolutely 3 amazing baristas, actually the only baristas that make the good coffee (is the only reason I come here). Here should go a pay rise. And actually these 3 people are the ones that are the best at costumer service & then are shifts when is no cover for the barista role so the person that is usually at the service side would make my coffee, which is absolutely burned and the milk over-boiled/steamed/foamed or just some poured milk over the espresso shot. Horrible. Sometimes I get the coffee in the take-away cup even if I sit in even if is 6pm. I don't wanna waste even if is recyclable/compostable and even more the coffee taste better from the ceramic* cups. There is no table service which I'm totally fine with, but the tables are always dirty and there is no available tissue/napkin to clean it myself. I always go and ask and it doesn't feel right. The toilet is not taking care of much either, but I get it that is mostly the costumers that are completely losers. I hope the management will take these reviews for real and make a change. In the end the worst thing about Gail's is that I cannot enjoy any other coffee/place because I'm in love...
