I am truly appalled by the level of customer service my friends and I received during our recent visit. A blonde woman, who appeared to be a manager and was wearing heavy eyeliner, behaved extremely rudely towards my stepmother. A minor issue had arisen regarding a drink order, and instead of handling it calmly and professionally, both the staff and security responded as though we had caused a major disturbance. It was clear that they approached the situation with disinterest, as if they were simply looking for something to do.
After politely requesting that a drink be remade, we sat down to enjoy the rest of our evening. However, approximately 20 minutes later, two security personnel approached and pulled my stepmother aside for a private conversation. This was particularly upsetting, as it was our first night out in quite some time. Concerned, I walked over to check on her, only to be met with hostility. I was pointed at and asked, "Who even are you and why are you getting involved?" a response I found entirely unnecessary and unprofessional.
If there was no intention of asking my stepmother to leave the premises, then the prolonged interaction with her seemed excessive and inappropriate. When the manager returned, she avoided making eye contact with either of us, which was surprising. If she believed she was in the right, one would expect her to address the matter more directly and confidently.
We were later informed that the manager suffers from severe anxiety and had been crying, stating she would not return to work unless we left the venue. This seemed like an unreasonable justification, especially given the minor nature of the original issue.
To add to this concern, after reading several online reviews, it appears that this particular woman has been mentioned multiple times and seems to be a recurring issue for other customers as well.
Overall, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The establishment appears to be staffed by young individuals who are more focused on finding reasons to take breaks than providing quality service. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this type of service is...
Read morePopped in here yesterday with my step daughter and witnessed a lady spill her full drink across the table accidentally. I found out it was her first day out after giving birth and she was with one of her friends. She went to the bar and explained what had happened and they offered a soda water instead of replacing the gin and Tonic. I then went to the bar and spoke to a blonde lady with dark eyeliner who I was told is the manager. I explained that the lady was being genuine as I had watched her spill her drink and as a good will gesture and good customer service it would have been good of the bar to replace the spilt drink. This manager walked me over to a man with no introduction and said speak to him. She gave me no eye contact and when I placed my hand on her arm to say it was just feedback she said so rudely 'do not touch me!'. I then explained once again to this man who said he was the manager. He listened and said he would come back to me. The next time he came back to me he was asking me to leave the premises along with security as I was causing trouble. The lady manager had said I was clicking my fingers in her face saying all sorts. Honestly it was such an awful experience. Security then called the female manager over who still continued to lie and not give me any eye contact. As I walked through security and the girl to get my bag she did not move and elbowed me slyly. Shocking behaviour and views from staff at this place. I will not...
Read moreHad a lovely afternoon that ended in a disgusting display of racism from a member of your staff. We spent 4 hours drinking, had been laughing and joking with the staff. 4 hours in, one of the staff who has served us all day, asked if our black friend was bothering us! We thought it was banter so laughingly said yes, barman then told our friend he had to leave after the next drink. He came back and our black friend said what's the problem, he was then asked to leave! My other friend went to the barman and asked what the problem was, I went to the black security guard to complain, he said he had seen us all afternoon and didn't see what the problem was. He called barman over who told us he had a duty to all women to make sure we are safe. I pointed out that we had been there all afternoon and hadn't had a problem which he had to agree to, I asked why now is it a problem. He kept saying he has to keep women safe. As a woman, yes it's great that the bar has this policy but to throw a man out after 4 hours, who had spent well over £100, when he had done nothing wrong doesn't seem right. Do you ask all women if their male companion is bothering them or is it just the ones that have a black man at their table? The couple sitting behind us, witnessed this and walked out in disgust. Funny enough, the woman (white) who had gone from table to table poncing drinks and to my knowledge stole at least 3 of your ashtrays, went...
