Honest Burgers St Katharine Docks — Restaurant in London

As a long time customer who has eaten here since they opened I felt like I finally HAVE to leave this review.

I preface this review with: the food is always pretty good…

But the staff are just atrocious, this particular Honest burger has had a string of new managers every 2-3 months since the start. I have ordered here every Thursday almost religiously, at first the wrong orders and delays were funny or minor annoyances, but after the 4th consecutive time you kind of have to wonder if they are doing it on purpose.

A lot of the times I am ordering on the phone because it’s the most convenient for me, they have muted the phone or lost the receiver so many times I cannot count any more. After having had a conversation with the previous manager about keeping a better eye on incoming calls, this new manager manages to tell me to call back in 5 mins, only then to not pick up for the next 30 mins. Literally going out of their way to waste a customer’s time. I don’t mind ordering from somewhere else, just tell people you can’t order on the phones at this point! Their online ordering system doesn’t apply local discounts and has no option to pay on collection.

When it works it’s great, but at this point the success rate of ordering from here is 50/50 at best… not worth it any more. And I have to say! The managers might have changed, but there the one lanky guy who only half speaks English that always gets the orders wrong that seems to be the common denominator. Terrible experience, don’t waste...

I am visiting London, today I was with my girlfriend until late touring the city, of the few options we found near the Tower Bridge was "Honest Burgers" at first we were greeted by a large girl with curly hair, I asked her if they still had service to which she replied that she would check it, later she told us yes, but that they would close in 5 minutes, she passed us to the table she wanted, she never asked if we wanted any, so we moved to another vacated table and after 5 minutes another very nice girl took our order, few minutes later we noticed the table was dirty so I asked the first girl who greeted us big tall curly hair we asked if the table was clean, to which in an annoying, rude and despotic way she asked if someone had given us the table or if we had seen someone leave that table, he left making gestures, it is clear that he lacks kindness, education and does not know how to provide a service . We withdrew and do not recommend the place.

I just hope it wasn't racism for being from...

Dined here on 31st January, food was great however was massively let down by the service unfortunately.

On a previous visit the service had been amazing but on this occasion the majority of staff seemed as though everything was a chore for them.

Our server seemed extremely grumpy when taking our order, and having had mains cleared, we waited for around 20 minutes before I raised my hand to ask for a desert menu but was given the bill which we were not after.

When the time came to pay, I asked for the service to be taken off as we were not happy with the service we’d received. This was met with a hostile “why” and when I explained - I was laughed at, proving exactly why I had asked for the service to be removed.

This attitude seemed to be towards every customer too. Don’t get me wrong, if the restaurant had been packed I would’ve understood a slower service (having been in the industry for 6 years), but the place was a 1/3 full, hence our...
