RIP OFF - 2 for 1 cocktails are now 3 for 2 and they BE SNEAKY BOUT IT plus SUPER RUDE. I ordered a cocktail after seeing a cocktail offer, thinking it was 2-4-1 - BECAUSE IT SAYS SO OUTSIDE. I asked for two cocktails (aka 2 for 1). When we went to pay the two cocktails were charged to our bill. I said I didn’t want to actually order 2 cocktails, just one (and get the free one). One cocktail was brought out. I went to ask for another one, and said since it’s 2 for 1. The bartender then said it’s not, it’s 3 for 2, pointing at the menu, and said his colleague explained that (which she did not). I then asked if I could PURCHASE another cocktail now then, and get the extra one, to which I was told no. This is just poor customer service at this point. On our receipt, it actually says 2 for 1 cocktails and I showed this to him, but he refused to accept it. He actually said to me ā€˜stop playing games’?! I’m not playing games, you are bro. Also he threatened to throw me out for arguing with him even though we were waiting for food. Mind you, at 8pm on a Friday night this place is DEAD and you should probably just be taking my extra money? Anywho, safe to say, will NEVER BE COMING BACK (even though the karaoke, etc looks really fun and it’s quite close to home). But I’ve never been spoken to so rudely by bar staff in my life. To be fair, the waitress was lovely (though probably should have explained the cocktail deal) and the food was poppin’.

I went for the 90s brunch which takes place on Sundays. The venue is spacious and the ascetics are well thought out. However the quality of the food was a bit lack luster. I chose the cheese burger which was actually not bad. The fries were crisp and the vegetable dumplings were alright (not steamed; I believe they were deep fried). I chose the brownie for dessert and it was actually not great at all. The ice cream was like eating frozen skimmed milk. There was absolutely nothing appealing about it at all. The brownie wasn't any better (sorry to say). I definitely could have made a better quality dessert than what I received. I paid for the early bird price (Ā£35). understand that might be a steal for a three course menu. However I value the quality of my food and this menu definitely let me down. I love the venue but not the food. Also, I wouldn't pay more than the early bird price foe the experience. On the upside the 45mjns of bottomless drinks wasn't bad at all. I was able to get a good amount of drinks in but I felt like they could have given me one more drink. Once your time is up you have the option to order drinks from the menu or a full pitcher. Over all the experience was "ok" but I wouldn't make this a regular brunch experience.

The worst night out ever. Service is terrible and staff are so arrogant. Purchased a bottle from the bar which was not busy as all, 35 mins later still hadn’t received the bottle. Went to complain and was told it’s not been paid when I clearly had the receipt in my hand. Bottle was not even brought to our table I had to go back and collect it from the bar. Then no glasses were given so had to go back and wait for each individual glass to be topped with ice. And guess what by the time we sat down and poured a few glasses to have a drink the venue had shut and we was getting escorted out of the premises. If you want to have a enjoyable night without waiting ridiculous times please go elsewhere!! I will never recommend this place after that experience.

I booked a room at Huckster for a joint birthday celebration which first of all appeared to be a challenge as it took us around 5 phone calls, 2 weeks and several email exchanges to get this booked in. When we turned up at the venue for 5.30pm which is the time we had it booked for, we were told they were currently closed and would be opening at 6.30pm and that my booking was for then, which was not communicated at all!!!! I had to argue to get myself and my guests into our room as having 30 people waiting outside would be embarrassing both for myself and for the venue. Once we got in (finally), everything just seemed to go wrong. We were being interrupted every 15 minutes during our event for no apparent reason, we were ordering drinks and food at the bar where we were being told of by staff as they said they would take orders from our room which would’ve been fine if they actually came and took our orders!!! There were evidently no set prices for food and drink either, as myself and my party were being charged different amounts. One of my friends actually got charged almost double of what she should have and was made to cry when she challenged this by members of staff. There was then a private event that night starting from 10pm which I was informed about but was told my party would not be affected as we could stay in our room. However, at 10pm we had a member of staff tell us she needed Ā£10pp if we wanted to stay there, which was not communicated to me at all and she claimed it had been! I then had to talk to the lady hosting the private event and come to an agreement with her for my party not to pay the charge and to let us stay in our room; the staff at Huckster were absolutely useless in this and did nothing other than cause a load of grief! To top it all off, I had to argue and send numerous emails in order to have my deposit refunded to me which was just a nightmare in itself. Will never be returning to this venue where staff are rude, liars and don’t know what they are doing. It is one big con where they try to keep customers deposits and charge every person a different amount for food and drink. Will not be surprised if this venue closes due to...

I was very disappointed with our Huckster experience. There were a large group of us, and we had booked a Karaoke Room from 9pm - 11pm on a Saturday night a week ago. We arrived at 8pm and ordered food and drinks. We told the bar staff which tables we were sat at. To start with the staff brought two meals out which should have gone to another table, we realised the error and took them across to the other table. By 9pm, only one meal had been brought out to our table! - And staff were walking about carrying plates of food with no idea which table they should take them to! By now, our karaoke room experience should have started, so we went to the bar and explained that we were STILL waiting for our meals, but needed to join the others up in the booked room. Eventually, our meals were brought up at 9.45pm! The food (Beef Burritos) were frugal, luke warm, and dripping with watery something. (We couldn't see what the juice was as the room was so dark) The meal was really unappetising indeed. The nachos on the plate were tasteless. We were very disappointed in the food . After taking that long, we thought it was going to be GOOD. The Karaoke set up was broken, so after a while, they eventually moved us to a room downstairs and gave us a shot of Tequila Rose as a goodwill gesture. My last gripe were the drink prices! One round of three drinks cost £33.00, the next time I went up for two of those three drinks it cost £26! I called someone over about it. And his response was ... Were you served by a different server? Really??? Surely, there is a SET price for drinks. Potentially it could be a GREAT venue, maybe we were there on an off night? But, I wouldn't return again after our evening there.

Suggestion to Hucksters - Get some numbers on your tables! Such an easy fix for meal delivery in a timely fashion to the correct table. And Get pass out receipts to customers, so they can check what they are being charged when drink prices vary so much. It will improve the customer experience so much more! I have rarely left a negative review before, but feel that you need to look at issues within your business and how it can...

Interesting place, but my friends and I had an odd experience with the menu. When my boyfriend and I arrived we were given two menus including one that had a lot of vegan and vegetarian options on it. After a long wait we picked two veggie options, one from each menu, to be told that one of them was "off". No matter, we'll replace that choice with something else.

As we were choosing a replacement option a second member of staff strode in and announced loudly that there were in fact "no veggie options" left AT ALL so we couldn't in fact have either item we had chosen or anything else we could eat. Then a third staff member chimed in with "you can have Mac and cheese", only to follow up with "no actually that's off too".

"Do you like chips?" We were then asked.

Somewhat flummoxed we consulted the menu again and I pointed out that we'd seen lots of people ordering pizzas. "How about pizza?" I asked. "Oh yes, we can do one of those" came the reply. So being hungry, we ordered one.

Now, I'm used to people being a bit odd about vegetarian/vegan food but in this case it seemed they didn't know what it was or were choosing to make out they didn't. It was what came next that made me suspicious.

When we joined our friends, another vegetarian friend was now also eating a pizza, and before we were able to tell her of our experience, she recounted having had the exact same conversation with the three staff members (including the bit about Mac and cheese), with them finally telling her the only thing they could offer her was chips, and resulting in her pointing out that pizza is vegetarian, then ordering one of her own.

Knowing that they had just been through the same exchange with another customer somehow made it hard to excuse the attitude we encountered. It certainly didn't make me want to go back there again. Very odd experience all round! The karaoke was quite...
